This was my third or fourth visit to Mercies, and I doubt that I would come back. I intended to work on my laptop, but the only spaces near an outlet require you to sit on very small and uncomfortable stools, so I did not stay as long as I would have liked. I ordered an almond croissant, which was stale. It took over ten minutes to receive my latte, despite them not being busy.

I stumbled upon Mercies Coffee one morning on Madison’s east side, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in the city. First time going to Mercies recently, and I was impressed! You wouldn't expect how cute and cozy the inside is based on it being in a commercial-looking strip. Very bright and calm atmosphere with a variety of tables and comfy couchy seating. The staff was SO friendly. The signature breakfast sandwich was yummy (especially the red pepper garlic jelly on it).
