Hot honey chicken sandwich was bad - no seasoning, no heat, breading didn’t stick at all, just drenched in honey which overwhelmed the bun. Fries soggy and undersalted.Service attentive. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Fun place with good food. Plus they were open on Easter which is when we were in town for a college tour the next day.Good variety of choices from "bar food" to "diner fiod". I would eat here again.Staff was efficient and friendly.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience here on my birthday. I tried to use my birthday coupon to get $10 off my order of a chicken sandwich instead of a burger and the manager refused even though I've used it for that exact purpose before. The coupon just says 10.75 value. I'm no longer recommending this spot to my friends for their birthdays after this experience. This frustrating experience lead to my first ever review

Very disappointed in my experience at the Nitty Gritty. I went there with the best intentions to enjoy a great time. However... I left with a pretty bad impression of the establishment. Positives: The ambiance. It's has a college bar vibe. It's good sized with booth, table, high top, and bar seating available. Plenty of pictures all over the wall of VIPs and patrons having fun. Loads of TVs to watch sports as well. Negatives: The food. My meal was terrible... on top of tasting horrible it was served cold. Cold limp fries with a NASTY dried out burger. I watched our meals sit in the kitchen under the "heat lamps" for at least 15 minutes. No BS. Our server musta had to go to the bathroom, put change in the meter, have a cigarette or something... no where in sight. The final big negative was the service. It's really hit or miss. Some of the employees there are absolutely great. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, fun... but ours, well...in a word sucked. Didn't even come back to see how we were all "enjoying" our meal. This place is in the business of selling drinks and I couldn't even get the server back to our table to buy more drinks! What the hell. I really wanted to love this place... but I'm a truthful person.
