Just moved to Middleton from Atlanta and decided to check out The Original Pancake House today. Wow — the food was absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly! I couldn't believe how huge the portions were. I had the mushroom crêpes, bacon, and sausage — everything hit the spot. It's definitely a new favorite!
We had an approximate 40 minute wait when we arrived around 10 am on a Saturday, which appears to be prime time. Once seated, we were waited on quickly and friendly. Food came quicker than anticipated with every table full, plus take out orders being filled. The Pork Salsa Verde was different and delicious (though a little salty for my taste). The pecan waffle and the strawberry waffle were both very good. The fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious. We highly recommend....
This place definitely lives up to the hype. Great food, timely service, and fairly priced, too. Most places aren't giving you half as much as you get here for the same price.
Be ready for a small feast.
If you're looking for great food to share, I suggest the apple pancake. It'll take a bit to cook but is unique and delicious.
