I asked for a PBR. I got one in a can. My friend got on tab immediately after me. Guy with hat and tattoos will scam you. Awful. Too bad, I’ve had better experiences here

Not super high end, but still good drinks and honest pours. I told the Bartender that the whiskey sour tasted different. He looked at it and said let me check the sour. He quickly changed it out and made a proper sour hassle free. I came many times before this happened and this was probably the only “incident” ever. Crowd usually has a good mix, not to polarized and tension free. Cheers!! Also parking is right around the corner! If you can’t find parking Thats a you problem.

Went here for first time ever last night and overall was a horrible experience. Staff/manger were very aggressive towards me and my friends. This place is very POC unfriendly and would not recommend to those (POC) looking for a safe place to have a drink.

I wasn’t sure wether to give 2 or 3 stars but the bartenders are good and the atmosphere is nice. My biggest issue was my purse was stolen from the bar, I called 2 times with no answer, filed a police report, and then I went in about 2 weeks later to kindly ask if the bartenders saw anyone take a purse or if someone turned it in (my cards in my purse had unauthorized use from whoever stole it) and it turns out the man I was talking to was the general manger. He was very dismissive and I felt unheard and slightly disrespected. I felt like I was kind about it because it wasn’t his fault. I was purely seeking information or leads on my stolen purse in the bar he manages. He said said something along the lines of “are you sure it was actually stolen” and I said told him yes, my cards were used. Then in a condescending tone he asked if I called, filed a police report, etc. I told him I called and no one answered and reassured him by following with “but I know you guys are probably busy so it’s okay” he’s was just not nice or helpful about it at all. My medicine was also in my purse and he told me I should get on top of getting a refill. Not because he was concerned about me but seemingly said it just to be rude. I don’t know, decent bar but if that’s how the GM acts idk how decent it truly is. Great bartenders and vibes though! Just watch your stuff closely & try not to piss off the GM, order your drink and keep quit I suppose 😆
As for everything else: they have a beautiful real petrified tree inside the bar with lots of lights on it.
They have small “fenced” in outdoor seating in the summer on the sidewalk.
Price wise I’d say it’s average for Madison $10 or for a double rail and somewhere around $6 for a single rail.
It’s obviously on State St so parking isn’t easily available depending on the day. Be prepared to pay to park somewhere and walk there as there is no public traffic/vehicles allowed on State St.
It is located near plenty of other nice bars if you’re looking to crawl.
The best Vegas Bombs in town.

We came from a concert next door (at the Orpheum) , bartender stole the concert t-shirt we had bought and then randomly started playing the artist we had saw…rudeness through the roof. Will never visit again.

Austin is a great bouncer
Only had drinks, but because it was after a downtown event we waited, and waited for the single bartender who apparently forgot she works for tips, you know the everybody gets a trophy generation 🙄😬.
Seems like a typical college bar, and there are many along state street with sticky floors from many spilled drinks splashed about by privileged drunk college kids learning about moderation the hard way. 😅
that ginger bartender ignored me for like 15 min. dapped up his bros got them drinks I WANTED A CANNED DRINK! not even a cocktail. he didn’t even have to do work. i stood there with card in hand waving at him. he INTENTIONALLY IGNORED ME!! i know what ur thinking. it’s a busy night, he can’t serve everyone. i am a very understanding girl. i get it. i’ve worked in food service for many years. i understand. BUT THIS WAS DIFFERENT!!!! THIS WAS INTENTIONAL!!! i wasted my whole night trying to get A SINGLE CANNED DRINK!!! this has never happened to me. he was so mean. lots of girls ignored. every man got served. #sexistorgay?
