Absolutely love this pizza. Hasn't realized until earlier tonight that the west side location existed (got through some lean college years a slice at a time downtown), and I was cautiously optimistic ordering carryout for the family.The location is a bit odd, and doesn't seem like it'd draw much traffic, but my youngest and I were amazed at how nice the location looked on the inside (yet another "if not for COVID" moment). He was astonished by the size of the box the 20 inch pizza came in (I was more impressed that the prices were still extremely reasonable). He proudly walked it in from the garage, presented it to the rest of the family, and when we got to eating it was absolutely marvelous. My eldest learned how to fold a New York slice , my wife and I waxed nostalgic about how much of it we'd eaten while dating, and we all ate far more than we meant to (and still have leftovers to boot)My wife loves a bit of hyperbole (and I can't vouch for her comment having never been there myself) but she swore it was better than any pizza she had in New York. Take that for what it's worth, but we'll be regular customers from here on out. Love this pizza.

Had this delivered tonight. Three slices eaten between us. Rest of the order is going in the trash unfortunately. Oh well, can't always get good. If I try again and it's better I'll update but I don't know if I will.

Great pizza, but dont get delivery. I get so frustrated when i used to order delivery, the people they have answering the phones cannot even speak english. Ya gotta give your card number about 4 times, spell your address about five times, they say 30minutes till it arrives. Then an hour and 45min later i get a call from the driver looking for my house. Stood on the driveway for about 15min waiting. Pizza arrived COLD. the driver was frustrated. Told me to call the owner the next day and he would comp. My order. So i did, and he was soooo generous he gave me a whopping %10 discount!Just really pisses me off because i think they have some of the best "NY STYLE" pizzas. And the pizza i like best on the west side.Have the people who answer the phones learn to speak the english please.

Looks like the perfect new York style pizza. However the toppings are scimpy (and $2.50 each). It's flavorless and heavily greasy but the crust doesn't fold. Garlic knots are huge but dense and flavorless.

My heart was more than a little heavy when I saw the "For Sale" real estate sign in front of the west side PDR. For the past three years, it has been virtually my sole source to feed the insatiable pizza-fueled demon that lives inside me. I was fearful the pandemic would yield this result. Thank you, PDR, for some amazing memories, and for serving some of the best pizza I've ever had. Truly hope our paths will cross again.

I know every single pizza place in Madison has 4 stars, but I actually think this is the best pizza on the West side, maybe the best on the East side too, not sure. Caprese pizza is especially good. Crust is very good and ingredients seem to be of high quality. Large delivery area, even to Middleton.

Celebrated my son's birthday at the West Side location. Some of the best pizza I've ever had -- and the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We were able to order a gluten-free, cheese free pizza for my son's pal who is allergic to both gluten and dairy, the pizzas were made very timely and the staff was very helpful bringing extra plates, forks and a knife for the cake and offering to stay open later than their 9pm close if we needed/wanted more time. Highly recommend Pizza di Roma! I know that we will be back!

Great Pizza, some great sides with the pizza Open till 9 p.m. except Sundays I guess. Awesome fresh slices anytime Food to order if you want Delivery is excellent for 20 inch pizza Great price, should have more atmosphere using the back patio And be better with a full bar on the Westside with happy hour ... $3.50 slices and .75 off drinks during slow Time But close at 10 so no hooligans start fights
