Always friendly service at this location and super accommodating to requests on orders. I went here on a Tuesday for lunch and got this power burrito with greens. The greens were a little overdressed, but the dressing is tasty and actually pairs really well as a dip for the wrap. The wrap itself was fine on the day, but the greens inside tasty a little like they had gone bad, with that sourish taste. Not sure if that was from grilling the wrap, or if they actually were turning. The greens on the plate were fine, so I just pulled out the ones in the wrap. My favorite thing is that there is so much space at this location and the tables for two actually and enough room for both people to set stuff on the table. One thing to note was that I sat upstairs and one of the lights kept flickering. Just became a little annoying as I was reading papers. Overall, still one of my favorite coffee shops in Madison.

So this location is located right near the state capitol. I say near because other coffee shops like Collectivo, Wonderstate, and Starbucks are all located right next to the state capitol which means that all of those are really, really, really busy especially on Saturday when the farmers market is hopping. Like I previously stated this place is located near the capitol about one block away but the line gets nothing like the other coffee shops and in my humble opinion the coffee is better here. I recommend the honey lavender latte! I will say aesthetically it's not as nice looking as the others but don't let the looks fool you this place is a hidden gem!

I've ordered food and coffee from here a couple times per week. The staff is so amazingly friendly and helpful, and the food is good, coffee wonderful. I especially like their smoothies and their vegetarian, gluten free options. If you want an alternate to corporate coffee shops, this is it!!!

Super cute, really like the vibe inside, coffee was pretty good and got a bottle of wine. Really poor organization where we wait for our coffee without any direction from staff leading to this big bottleneck of folks standing awkwardly around the cafe. There wasn't that many folks either? So wish it was make clear

Tastes ok. I just feel like if they want to charge so much the product should go crazy !!!! But it's just ok. I like the latte / espresso flavor but it's full of grounds that sink to the bottom and make my latte look dirty or like it's feet were in the sand. My latte looks like it has sandy dirty feet. And now I can't have the last few sips because it's crunchy with grounds. The food is also extremely not amazing. Again if you're gonna charge so much, give me something ANYTHING. Give me some pageantry, some effort, some love, some thought, or lord forbid some flavor!!! They're just slapping stuff together back there and they're like hmm that'll be 8$ . It also smells nasty like there's no ventilation and when you leave your clothes and hair reek like the place.

Cute coffee shoppe vibe, small retail section with sustainably sourced products. Great coffee menu, will have to try those another time. We went for smoothies- Berry Berry and Green Monkey, made to order! Its pricey but you're paying for quality ingredients.

What a beautiful coffee shop! I came here to do some work and meet up with some friends. I arrived first so I ordered the cold Caramel Roll Latte with Barriques Forge Espresso, steamed oat milk, caramel & vanilla. I'm not a huge coffee drinker this drink was really good. I've had it hot and cold and they are both really good. i will be back again.

This place is great! The coffee isn't acidic, which I like. The capital city breakfast sandwich is SO good. I do recommend getting there ahead of time if you have to be somewhere. You could be waiting 10-15 minutes for your coffee/food depending on how busy they are. The only complaints I have is that my coffee doesn't always taste the same and I have the same order everytime. I've ordered the capital sand which 4 times and out of the 3, they still put a slice of cheese on it when I asked them not to. Overall a great cafe!
I go to this location often because it's near my apartment and the coffee/food is decent. However, rarely have I gone there and felt welcomed by the employees. Not sure if management is treating them poorly, they don't get customer service training, or maybe they are just short staffed. They glare at you when you walk in, even if there's barely any customers in the store. The vibe could not be more weird.
