We were only in Madison for a day so when I found a Raising Canes on Google maps not far from our hotel I HAD to make the trip in the middle of the night after our concert show. We got there just after midnight (Tuesday into Wednesday 6/17-6/18), and while I understood that they were nearing closing time, the area was crawling with people outside and also coming in and out of the restaurant (even in the rain). I thought the chicken strips were very good. They had the consistency (I thought) of like fish?! Very easy to tear apart. The chicken skin is thin, crispy, tasty, and easy to eat.

I thought the service was pretty fast for how busy the place was. The server was somewhat friendly for how much pressure he was under (I totally understood). There's a self-serve station for drinks.

The atmosphere reminded me of like a sports bar. Lots of tables...

I went to the Raising Cane’s on State Street, starving and a little delirious. I don’t even remember how I got there, only that it was a crawl to the front door—literally. When I walked in, the air was thick, misty, like fog had crept in with me. It clung to my clothes, adding this surreal vibe that made me question if I was dreaming.
