Nice ambience and service was ok. We sat here for a game and a beer. But from the environmental point of view, we are disappointed by the lack of real glasses. Only plastic glasses and plastic cutlery. Disappointing for a university bar. UW ought to be more environmentally aware.
Environmental Review: Utensils, cups and plates are all single use disposables. Even with a sample of beer, they throw the sample cup away instead of using it... How is it that the university doesn't have better environmental policies?

Super slow service. Love their food but it takes literally 35 minutes to get my food each time I come. And this is during the slow periods (like 3 or 6 pm).

I don't think I'll be back. There has been some kind of sports talk show on the TV blasting so loudly i can't have a conversation with my partner. We moved to the table that seems to be farthest away from the speakers and it's still pretty ridiculous. It's incredibly abrasive and not a pleasant or enjoyable environment. If you have sensory issues... you may want to stay away.

Too few plant based options. Great place for lots of kids, as it's designed.

This place never has there whole menu available.
Very good choices of foods, can get quite busy at peak lunch hours
“Limited menu” means almost nothing but chicken tenders and fries. I’m trying to eat healthy and couldn’t get carrots and celery. Beer taps shut down. I guess I’ll have a piece of cream pie for dinner.
I’ve been to The Sett a couple of times since I’ve been a student at UW, but until today, have only really tried their burgers (which are decent enough). I honestly wish I hadn’t decided to branch out and try their boneless chicken wings with garlic parmesan sauce, because it was one of the most bizarre eating experiences I’ve had. The wings have the consistency of tofu and taste like the most subpar popcorn chicken. Not only this, but the sauce weirdly tastes like cream of mushroom soup, and has the same thickness. I’ve had better experiences eating Rhetas buffet-style sushi at 4pm than this. Besides the aforementioned chicken incident, I don’t have too many complains. The staff are wonderful, food gets done in a reasonable time, and most of their other food is pretty on par with the rest of the university restaurants. Just whatever you do, don’t get the chicken.

The food is decent, and they sometimes have events like trivia nights or live music. Additionally, the bowling alley and game room is great fun for a group hangout. However, they sometimes have limited options for the items on their menu, and usually if you arrive at 7pm or later, they only serve drinks and appetizers (fries, cheese curds, etc.).
Good food on campus that's in a central location. However, recent changes to the menu have become much more rigid and dont allow for substitution or removal of sides, which I dislike.
This is one of those places that you just have to go to get the full madison experience. Food is more expensive than it used to be, but still very good.
Very nice sports pub. But they use plastic cups for beer
Fun place for students to have fun
