This place just wasn't open for their listed hours, and was really difficult to find in the first place. Wasted a lot of time and energy to walk into a dark basement.
Great food affordable price
Went there to experience Chef Andy's food using fermentation.
A great place with many wonderful individuals all working to bring about sustainable food service!

I love what they're doing, each meal is heartfelt and creative. Great community service (in addition to serving students!). Thanks Slow Food UW-Madison!
@CardiacOnCampus thanks you so much for the most amazing meal!!! If you haven't already, check out all that the have to offer. Knowing that food and lifestyle is such a huge role in our cardiac health, they gave us some great tips on how to cook a healthy meal, low in saturated fats & sodium, while rich with veggies and whole grains!
I love the food, the atmosphere, and the price. A great way to meet new people and explore new foods.

This is an awesome way to get exposed and also eat an awesome meal that is fresh and supports local producers/farmers. The people there are also great and sitting next to a stranger and meeting someone is part of the experience too
Why not invite social networking members to participate in volunteering for the UW Slow Food Cafe?
Super good food. Two dishes for $6. Fried nut butter and spicy cranberry chutney sandwich. Brussels sprouts and walnut salad!
