Drinks were excellent. Love their American gin. Other drinks the table ordered were delicious. Do NOT order the charcuterie! Greasy salami, and hard cheese….and you get a plastic knife to try to cut hard cheese. At first staff refused to help, we had to take the cheese to the bar for someone to cut it. A waste of money.

A very nice and unique decor with an interesting drink menu. Service was slow on a Tuesday night but they were also busy and appeared to--perhaps--be surprised by that based upon staffing. Eventually I realized there were QR codes on the tables that allow you to place an order and I will use those in the future. I have revised this review because I'm happy to hear from the owner that the straws are biodegradable and my concern is alleviated. (I've seen cornstarch cups before also and wish more bars would use those.) My old fashioned is good, so thumbs up on quality. The other drinks all look very interesting and good as well. I have heard nothing but good things about State Line and believe that the longer waits were an anomaly. I'll certainly be back! Thank you.

This is a really excellent place to grab cocktails or mocktails! The drinks were creative and reasonably priced. You can also purchase bottles of their spirits to take home!
They have a great, dog-friendly patio space with plenty of seating as well as charming bar seating indoors with limited indoor table seats. They also have board games inside (Catan, etc) for customers to use as they drink.
There is limited street parking right in front of the building, but you can also park on the street around the corner.

We had a private tour and tasting with John, and it was such a wonderful and unique experience! We came away loving State Line even more, and were impressed by their grain-to-glass philosophy and use of Wisconsin-based materials. Worth a visit for anyone-we also love that they have creative and tasty mocktails too!
Excellent distillery; worthy of a visit to enjoy a tasting flight or cocktails. Pleasant and friendly service. I was impressed with the clear ice cubes that enhance the drink appearance.

It's okay the vibe seems to be good but the actual drinks are pretty mid for the price point. It's cool that they distill their own liquors but that's about it they don't do anything super interesting or innovative with them.
They don't really push the envelope any further in the Madison cocktail but the vibe is great for groups or hanging out

Great distillery tucked away between Willy and Wash. The booze is solid and flights are only $10. Cocktails range from $10-$25 but most are in the $11-$14 range, but the quality is top notch.
Parking is a little tricky when they're busy, you might have to park a street over. The space is quite large and open inside, plus they have ample outdoor seating.
Definitely a great spot for a fancy cocktail and a hang, I'll be back for sure.
