Delightful breakfast and lunch menu. Impeccable service and well-appointed surroundings. Highly recommended when eating off the Capitol Square.

It seems like the place to be. Lots of the capital crowd and a good vibe. Solid selection of drinks as well.

We popped in The Post after walking around Madison’s capital area. It was warm and inviting from the outside and the inside was the same. We sat at the bar. I noticed that the staff working in the bar area were attentive, especially the bar tender and I am sorry I didn’t get his name. The bar was pristine, and the drink menu for the early afternoon simple. The interior of the bar is simply elegant and reminded me of the Gatsby type era. It is connected to hotel which we were not staying but also looked very modern.

We've (the three of us) have gone to the Post many times, and, with almost no exceptions, have been served well-prepared food and drinks and great service for brunch on Sunday. Brunch, at the Post, is essentially the breakfast menu, although you can also utilize the lunch menu.So imagine our surprise today, 11/19/23, at around noon when the wait person provides us with menus, says she'll be back soon and, finally, after about a quarter-hour we leave because the wait-person never returned! When Shane was the wait-person, this would never have happened, but that is no longer the case. It's a shame that the Post, in terms of service, has deteriorated so much that we can't wait long enough to get it. You can't order anything if you never get served. We never got served. So we went to Bear and Bottle and got served immediately.

The burger I had was cooked well and juicy. The fries were not overcooked and they had Guinness! The server was polote and prompt. The atmosphere reminded me of being in "Cheers" I dont know why that is. Prices were affordable as well.

I was treated extremely rudely. Apparently asking to see a menu created a problem. The bar tender proceeded to talk about me with another bartender until the realized that I had pulled my phone out. Very bad service.

Friendly service and nice variety on their dinner menu. Cubano was good but after a long drive, the Bloody was better!
