The Statehouse offers a diverse menu with generous portions and delicious food. Located on Lake Mendota in the Edge Water Hotel, it provides stunning views from its balcony, especially at sunset. Many guests praise the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place for a relaxing meal. The cheese curds remain a standout appetizer, and the Sunday brunch is a popular choice, with everyone leaving satisfied and stuffed. Customers recommend the Avocado toast, egg skillet, and French toast, noting they are highly enjoyable. The restaurant’s outdoor seating area offers a beautiful setting, perfect for a romantic or casual dining experience by the water. While the food is generally praised, some meals may have minor imperfections, like the filet with charred sides, though the steak is cooked perfectly. Service is attentive and responsive, with staff making guests feel valued. Visitors have celebrated special occasions here, enjoying complimentary desserts and the great quality of food, with every course described as delicious. Overall, The Statehouse is a highly recommended spot for good food, great views, and friendly service, making it a place worth returning to.
