Nice sushi joint! Looks small from the outside, but it is quite spacious inside. The fish is fresh and the sashimi cuts are generous!

I had Salmon and shrimp fried rice. The salmon was nasty so I just pushed it to the side and enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. The service was fine. The atmosphere was delightful with nice soothing music. Nice little spot. And the price is righttttt. Very reasonable ?.

Tokyo Sushi consistently has higher quality fish than RED. If you're looking for simply great sushi, this is the place to come.Parking: It's usually easy to find close street parking

Tokyo Sushi is one of the few sushi places that I go to in Madison. I have been a fan for awhile which is why I am writing this review. I love the fact that they offer great vegetarian options that are very yummy. It is my first time writing a review but unfortunately I had picked up an order from Tokyo Sushi found a sharp piece of plastic in my sweet potato roll. When I had called Tokyo Sushi after the incident happened my main objective was to just let them know what had happened so that they could make sure no one else got this in their food. My first call did not go that well, but a few days after their manager called. She was a lot kinder and very apologetic, and I appreciated it.Things like this happen, and I appreciate how the manager at Tokyo Sushi handled the situation. Because of her I will continue to support this restaurant because she showed great customer services, and the food is good.

This is a solid 3.5 star restaurant located in what used to be a home. I ordered the sushi deluxe, Toro sushi, some hot sake and green tea cream. The ice cream was really good but probably, a pre packaged kind and not fresh made. The reason for the 3 stars is the quality of fish. Although, prices are reasonable, it does reflect in the quality. Nothing was bad or it didn't smell fishy, it just wasn't high quality of salmon, tuna, yellowtail or snapper. The toro too missed the mark and it wasn't your melt in the mouth goodness. Unfortunately, this would be a hard pass for me in the future.

Super good veggie sushi and very affordable. I would definitely recommend the sweet potato tempura roll.

Was super excited to try it out for the first time since I’ve seen it open for so long, quick glanced at the menu before coming and it looked good. We arrived and right away the lady was a little rude which was not a big deal but didn’t really add well to our experience, there was something on the menu that said sushi 5pcs for the appetizers and we asked if we could pick which meat went on the sushi assuming it was like crab or salmon over rice and it was sorta confusing but the waiter said something about not being able to do cooked meat though we kept saying we wanted raw, we just ended up having to get individual pieces which was more expensive, wish it could’ve been explained to us a bit more. I then order my sushi which on the menu said it had masago (fish eggs) on top of the roll which is my favorite part, I misread what was in it and didn’t realize there was eel which was dumb of me and not their problem but some other places with the same roll i got (dragon roll) usually has shrimp but I was fine with the eel, but when the order came and it had no masago on it, barely any drizzle of sauce and had mostly only cucumber and the smallest piece of eel! I could barely feel/taste it. I asked about the masago since that’s the main reason I got it and he sorta hesitated and said people don’t usually like it, but I was like ohh I love it and he came back with like a tiny pinch of masago in a dish I was just so disappointed and surprised cause it was my first meal of the day-I hadnt eaten till pretty late and I was just so excited about coming and for my order to not have a lot or none of the main factors of ordering it I was sad and felt like I wasted money. I also ordered the fried calamari and it had no seasoning or much flavor which sucked cause calamari is my favorite. Just super expensive food for not great quality which really sucks. I would’ve loved to keep coming back here since it’s in my area but there isn’t anything to come back for :/ our waiter also progressively started getting a bit short and quiet with us. Service wasn’t great but wasn’t horrible. Was hoping for more from this cute place on Willy :(

I have to say this is such a cute little sushi joint in the Willy Street neighborhood! We started off with some fried oysters that came with a sweet and sour sauce.Next we had a couple of their sushi specialty rolls. I have a shellfish allergy and they were understanding of that which is always nice!My favorite dishes were certainly the teriyaki salmon! The sauce was a sweeter thick sauce with great consistency. My friends ordered the Bento Box and the Steak and chicken hibachi meal.We are certainly coming back!
