Good coffee but way overpriced. There’s a reason none of my local stores carry it anymore. Bags started out at just under a pound. Now they are 20 dollars for 10oz bag. You guys are pricing yourself out of business.
The iced tea is sucks

I waited 40 minutes for a simple bagel with cream cheese — not a ginormous or complicated order, just a normal bagel.
Ironically, the only thing that looked legitimately backed up was the latte station. That barista was pretty steadily churning out some clearly lovingly prepared coffees. There seemed to be several people ahead of me and it still only took like five minutes to get my two drinks.
I did approach to ask about the status of the bagel (and to have them cancel it if they hadn't started working on it yet), and they were able to grab me one — which, if that's all it was going to take, I am not sure why it was taking so long in the first place.
This isn’t a one-off experience. Service here pretty consistently takes far longer than it reasonably should, and at this point, it feels less like an anomaly. If you’re in a rush or expect efficient service, this probably isn’t the place for you.
That said, the atmosphere is pretty great, and if you've got time, or just wanna spend some time at a coffee shop and study or get some work done or whatever, this is a pretty nice place to do it!

I go here every time Im in Madison! Can be loud when it’s busy but overall a pretty chill environment and good coffee. Usually always get a specialty drink to try out the new flavors!
Great views and in a great location.

I visited this coffee shop based on a couple recommendations from fellow coffee lovers. I ordered a pumpkin spiced latte with oat milk and my husband ordered a maple latte. The maple latte was good. However, the PSL was lacking flavor. It seemed like it was just espresso and oat milk.
The busyness coupled with the “meh” tasting coffee leaves me with no desire to visit again. Definitely stop in and try for yourself!

Some terrible cappuccino and flat white. Burnt roast coffee as espresso coffee . They can certainly afford to use better beans for their espresso, given the prices they are charging.

Place makes for a great study spot. There’s plenty of seating and natural light, and the vibe is modern cozy. The music wasn’t too loud and mostly instrumental, so not distracting. WiFi was fast and never dropped.
There did seem to be a lack of easily accessible outlets, so bring your stuff charged!
The iced vanilla latte w oat milks and croissant themselves were at par with what you’d expect at a boutique coffee shop. Extra points for the “for here” glass though, definitely beats a plastic cup any day.
All in all, happy I checked this place out during my stay in Madison.
Oh, and it’s at the foot of the capitol building and has the lake pretty much in its backyard… can’t beat the location.

At noon on Saturday, what a scene,
The busiest café I’ve ever seen.
Ten minutes to order, four folks ahead,
By the time I reached the till, I felt misled.
The cashier was kind but clearly stressed,
Our cappuccino chat was not their best.
Fifteen more minutes, they called my name—
A latte appeared, not the drink I’d claim.
She offered a fix with a weary face,
But the line was long, I gave her grace.
The team worked hard, they gave their all,
But the system’s cracks began to fall.
The coffee? Fine, just not worth the fuss,
Mediocre sips don’t win my trust.
Next time I’ll wander, find someplace new,
Where service shines and the brew does too.

Great spot with even better coffee! We had their coffee at Uncle Wolfie’s in Milwaukee, for brunch, absolutely delicious. So good that we made a point to stop at this location in Madison to buy a bag! They even offered to grind the beans on site for us. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
