Cauliflower that can turn the tide of any battle into a victory for the modern vegetarian. Horchata wrung from the garments of heaven's legions. And while you're there, you might as well pick up groceries.

This is hands down the BEST food we have had in Madison. Their portions are large and they do not miss on flavor. Just wow. You can shop around there market while you wait for your food and your bound to find plenty of delicious snacks. 10/10 I cannot recommend enough!!!! THANK YOU

First time here and we got the quesabirria tacos and the loaded nachos. The best Mexican food ive ever had! I got a mango margarita and it tasted like fresh blended fruit - it was SO smooth! The service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. On our way out we grabbed a tres leches cake slice and it was the perfect way to wrap up the experience. Could not recommend this place enough!!

I ordered 3 beef tacos for lunch, but was really disappointed to find the cilantro was old and wilted, with yellow leaves. Fresh ingredients are the most basic expectation at a taco spot, and this place fell short. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I usually have a good experience here, especially when the teen boy is helping me he’s polite, attentive, and provides great service. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the opposite. The woman in her mid-30s made me felt like she gave me an unfriendly look the moment I walked in and her attitude throughout was unwelcoming. She didn’t seem interested. It really makes a difference when staff treat customers with respect, and in this case, her service was far from what it should be. If you don’t like your job you should quit ! Not give customers unprofessional service

We’ve ordered take-out from here a few times and it was always good. Today we went in to the restaurant and it was DELICIOUS! I started with a mango margarita and my husband got a michelada made with Pacifico…if it were Saturday instead of Sunday, we’d have had a couple more. We got the choriqueso as an appetizer, it was very tasty, but the homemade chips were amazing. For entree I got the empanadas de barbacoa and the hubby got gorditas de asada, both authentic, flavorful and obviously homemade. One warning, the green chile is spicier than the red! Still good, but definitely has a kick! We brought home flan & pastel de tres leches for dessert and even though they look tasty, we will probably have to wait til tomorrow to try them when we’re not so full.

Zero stars for food delivery. The 3 dip and chips was awful the guacamole is brown, the queso is runny and watered down and hardly any chips. The burrito lacks flavor.. it’s huge but does no good if you don’t want to eat it.

I ordered 2 birria pizzas and some loaded fries from these guys. It was the bomb. I give it an 8/10, and I love Mexican food. This food was authentic, with robust complex flavors. Definitely going back. The food in the grocery store there is extra fresh too.

We were visiting from Illinois to see my grandson who moved there. We were getting ready to go back to Illinois and needed to stop and eat, and we stopped at Zavala’s and got waited on by Vanessa. The place was so nice and clean and everyone was friendly and helpful and we will definitely go back there again when we come to Wisconsin next time. I was very impressed with their service and everything about the place.

Absolutely amazing food!!! Couldn't get enough of the fresh warm chips and guacamole! Our server was very kind but got a few things wrong with our order (we didn't ask for them to be changed and just ate/drank what we got), and the dining room was filthy when we arrived -- we had to ask that our table be re-wiped, plus there was a large table next to ours that needed to be cleared and wiped, but it was still not clean by the time we left after dinner. We'd totally go back for the food, though: delicious and lots of it. A great value!

Very good. My order did come out wrong but it was so good it didn’t matter. Green chicken enchiladas were delicious and seasonings are just right. The chicken was not dry and the steak on the tacos that my husband had was also perfect.
