This is the place to sit outside in the summer and enjoy a drink and some music! I especially love the baklava and the gyro salad.

More of a cafe/coffee shop than delicatessen

I really love this place for the cozy community atmosphere and I come here often. Generally I’m really happy with the quality of food for the price. However, recently I got a panini for $11 and felt it was over priced considering there was only one slice of meet and 2 tomato slices in the panini with a side of chips.

I love this place. It's so fresh and tasty! Very reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. A bit of off side parking usually, but worth it even if it's busy.

Came here with my two kids before zoo lights and ordered the hot chocolate for them and the chi tea for me. They immediately asked if the hot coco was for the kids and then made it less hot for them, which won me over. I'll definitely be returning to try some baked goods/food options (of which they had a lot). It was busy, but they had a decent selection of tables and couch/chairs. Very Madison vibe, which I always appreciate.

Cozy cafe with comfort food. They serve coffee and beer. My favorite is the rosewater lemonade. The chicken plate is a favorite of my husband, and the Panini‘s always warm me up on a cold day.

Quaint cafe across from the zoo with a great menu, along with a great spread of muffins/brownies for those looking for more of a snack. I got the Lablabi which was super savory, hearty, flavor-forward, and most importantly, delicious :) an easy endorsement and a place I look forward to visiting again

We loved it. The food was great. It was prepared quickly. Coffee was excellent. Staff was kind. Lovely and relaxed environment. Great location too. I will go back.

The best thing this cafe has going for it is the location. It's settled on a pretty neighborhood corner and has a nice outdoor seating area, which is where you'd want to sit considering the inside doesn't appear to have been cleaned in months. Everything in sight is dirty: bathrooms, floors, walls, seats. And I don't mean someone skipped a day of wiping the coffee splash near the garbage bin. Sadly, it seems thoroughly neglected on the cleanliness/aesthetic front, which doesn't instill confidence in other areas. Additionally, there doesn't appear to be any hood ventilation above the grill because it's SO smoky inside that I couldn't stay. They had some good tunes on and I understand it's a good place for families! Overall, it's disappointing staff energy, food is reasonable but totally overshadowed by the lack of pride shown in the actual environment. Restaurants need to be clean. Period.

Too bad this place doesn't get better overall reviews because we had such a great experience!! What a wonderful kid friendly little cafe!! We went yesterday after a fun day at the playground across the street. My veggie pita sandwich was yummy and my son's bowl of soup was delicious. I was impressed by how quickly they got our order out! They had a lovely selection of cakes and cookies at the counter but we were pretty stuffed, so looking forward to next time. The really great thing however is that they had a sandbox and toys in their front patio so if you have kids, you can actually have a conversation with someone while enjoying your coffee or lunch while your kids play!!

Some friends and I meet here every Saturday morning for coffee, treats and breakfast. The sevice is always great, with friendly staff. I love their lablabi. Today we arrived too late for breakfast. I had a North African torte. It was delicious. The side salad had just the right amount of dressing.Vegetarian options: Deliciously spiced vegetarian options!Parking: Unless it is a Badger game day, there is plenty of free street parking available.Kid-friendliness: Often kids there with their parents. In the warmer months there is an outdoor sandbox.
