Although private, this establishment does allow people to access Irving Creek and the Red Cedar River behind the building. There is ample parking, and it's common courtesy to thank them by patronizing the bar and restaurant before or after paddling.
Great little country place; scenic setting on Red Cedar River just a few miles from Menomonie; beautiful backyard is like a park. Good Bloody Marys; rustic but clean; always great staff; breakfast was great

Good music on a great afternoon at Grandpa Joe's Trailside in Irvington. Very pleasant "backyard " at the bar, and a nice selection of beer on tap (and bottles and cans, and others).
