“Small, but quaint, little bar nestled in the heart of downtown Mercer. We stopped in to get a stamp for the Pumpkin run and decided to stay for a drink and to share an appetizer. My captain and diet was poured quickly and priced similarly to other bars in the area. The owner was working behind the bar and was both friendly and attentive given the number of people squeezed into this smaller sized bar. The bar itself is decorated nicely and adorned with wood siding on the interior, which gives it a real, homey like feeling. We couldn't stay long, but all agreed to return when the opportunity presented itself once again.”

“The cutest little coffee shop! They had so many different specialty coffee drinks and smoothies! All of the baked goods are fresh and homemade; we loved the brownies. The owner was friendly. It’s in a great location right on the Main Street. They have two cute dogs. The kids liked the friendly lab they were able to pet him. Will definitely come back next time we’re in town!”

“Great donuts and Italian bread we use for grilled cheeses Hear they make cakes if ordered advance. Bakery supplies most of the northern restaurants with their goods. Baked daily. Been multiple times. They lease space within the grocery store which also has local goods like jam and honey plus seasonal vegetables. Worth the drive. A step back in time feeling

“We recently stayed at the Cranberry Inn for the weekend and were very pleased with our experience. We stayed in the Up, Up and Away Unit overlooking the pond. Beautiful views! The space was clean, spacious and well appointed, contributing to a comfortable and relaxing stay. The view from our unit was absolutely beautiful and provided a great backdrop for our relaxing stay. The cabins are conveniently located close to the UTV/ATV trails, making it very easy for our group of 12 to ride! We will definitely come back!”

“I get to Mercer a few times a year, and when visiting this quaint little town a trip to Heart of the North is a must. The food is amazing! The Seafood Bake, Prime Rib and Lobster and Mac & Cheese are phenomenal. Our service has always been great, drinks are wonderful and we love the entertainment! Heart of the North is a real gem!”

“There may be larger salad bars, but there are none better. Tonight I enjoyed an onion salad, a perfectly seasoned tomato salad, and delicious pickled peppers. The service was excellent. The personal experience of enjoying the evening with quality service staff and fun owners, is very hard to beat.”
