I get to Mercer a few times a year, and when visiting this quaint little town a trip to Heart of the North is a must. The food is amazing! The Seafood Bake, Prime Rib and Lobster and Mac & Cheese are phenomenal. Our service has always been great, drinks are wonderful and we love the entertainment! Heart of the North is a real gem!

The Prime Rib is a standout, juicy and very flavorful, with diners raving about the outstanding quality and generous portions. The Seafood Bake, featuring a combination of Shrimp, Scallops, Lobster, and a nice fish filet, is also a hit, along with Lobster and Mac & Cheese. The extensive menu includes Cajun shrimp appetizer, mussels, seafood stuffed portobello, veal parmigiana, filet Oscar, pasta carbonara, and loaded ny strip. The restaurant is known for its excellent service, friendly staff, fair prices, and a cozy, local atmosphere with live entertainment. Reservations are suggested, especially on weekends, as the restaurant can get quite busy, even turning away customers due to limited space. Overall, the Heart of the North is a great spot for a satisfying and memorable meal.
