We are from Janesville and own a cabin on Pike Lake. We decided to take a nice fall afternoon drive to Mercer about 30 minutes away. I had seen in “Up North Action” magazine that there was an ATV/UTV Pumpkin Run going on in Mercer, so we went to see what that was about, and we figured we would stop for lunch somewhere in Mercer. Well, needless to say, the city was jam packed. I googled bars/restaurants in Mercer and it gave me a lot of choices. I am sure glad we chose to go to Around The Corner Pub. Sure it was busy as we expected, but we were seated right away (there was only 2 of us) and promptly waited on. We ordered food from a very friendly waitress and the food arrived in a fair amount of time and was absolutely delicious. Larger groups began to arrive, so I guess we had gotten there at a good time. I just saw one waitress handling the people who came to eat, and she did a wonderful job. We will definitely go back. I hear they’re famous for their broasted chicken 😋

Stopped in when we got to town for dinner and drinks. The Olive burger was delicious and we also ordered the beef sliders which were also good. Great local bar atmosphere and the service was great too. Had a part of our group join us close to closing time and they graciously stayed open a little longer - thank you Becca and the kitchen staff who took orders right up to kitchen closing time. Will definitely go back!

Onion rings, jalapeño poppers and burgers were the highlights for our group. Awesome food, good drink prices and a classic Wisco corner bar vibe. Got the hot beef dinner. Comfort food to the max.

Please don’t ever take the chicken cordon bleu off your menu! It’s amazing! Great food and very good service today (Saturday) around noon. Pretty sure the owner was there (wearing the bar shirt?) and is probably seeing this…. Excellent crew, food and atmosphere. Thank you to all of the people front and back of house! We are local-ish (ironwood) and enjoy the establishment.

They answer the phone and then leave the phone on the bar so you can hear them talking and NEVER take your order. Terrible customer service. Will never waste my time calling them again.
