First time here. Not impressed. Was told by another couple that they must have had a different cook. Said it was really off tonight. Fish and fries were warm but not hot. Was not impressed with the old fashionds either. Suposed to be the best around.
From the time I walked in the door until I left I felt like family. When on a business trip a few weeks back I stopped in for a fish fry. I was 200 miles from home and dining alone. The dining room looks like a large home inside. You know, like you are at your aunts house type. Diane, the owner, gave me a drink on the house and made me feel like I have been going there for years. I cannot say how welcoming she was. It was also her birthday that week! The fish fry was amazing....
We enjoy the Friday fish fries. We anticipate the wait and have a drink or two in the bar.
The inside hasn't changed since the first time I was here in the 80s (my dad says long before that), but it brings lots of memories.
