Ordered a basic breakfast and bloody mary. Honestly I thought the bloody mary was kinda meh but the bacon garnish is nice. Not very spicy or flavorful but the baby miller chaser tasted fresh and was also a very nice touch! The breakfast was unmemorable. Not bad, just can't think of anything that stood out.
This is a landmark Milwaukee restaurant with a really charming historic decor. Went for late breakfast. The bloody mary was good, but my personal preference would be for regular rather than candied bacon. Buttermilk pancake incredibly fluffy, sugar-free syrup available upon request. The house benedict was prepared very well, including my requested well toasted muffin, but again personal preference I'd have rather had Canadian bacon than sausage. Huge amount of accompanying...
The food is worth the wait. I had the Plaza Pleaser with well done hashbrowns, blueberry pancakes and bacon and all of it tasted absolutely delicious. Service from the big man teddy bear host boss, the chefs, the server Sarah, the runners, and the order tracker person were just outstanding. If I am hungover again, I’m coming back here tomorrow morning. Sitting at the counter was so much fun watching the efficient staff work in such a tiny place.
