First visit to PD Chicago, 85th and National. Ordered Italian beef and sausage sandwich, gyro melt and Mt. Dew. About $19. A lot of meat in the bread, almost overflowing but tasted good. Gyro melt was good, too. Not too busy on a Friday at 5:30 p.m., so got my meal in about 10 minutes. Only a couple people ahead of me. I'd give it a thumbs up. Worth another visit.
The gyro is my favorite, but the pizza puffs and chicken are also good. Nice crispy fries every time, as long as you don't close up the plastic bag and let them steam themselves on the drive home. Never tried the burgers.Food has always been hot and ready ~5 minutes after ordering. Very reminiscent of college neighborhood style restaurants in Chicago, as the name suggests.
I've been ordering their food thru Uber eats, good food!!! (I've been ordering the gyros, gyro burgers and gyro fries) Within 15 minutes the food is ready, the only waiting I had to deal with is waiting for the uber drivers to drop it off
