They only brew a few of their own and they are not great. But the tap list is good and the spot is cool.
We came here in January and it was a great place to escape the cold. The service is great and so is the beer ?
Limited selections of local beers
Pretty great selection of beer. The venue has very unique architecture
This was a great place to hangout at before heading over to Miller Park for a concert. We got to avoid a lot of traffic by stopping here first and then heading into the stadium from the backside of the neighborhood. .. At the time there were a lot of guest taps here at City Lights, so I didn’t get a chance to try any of their beers but the establishment was a really cool place to visit. We will definitely be back once they are back on-line & making beer again.
Great selection of beer they have many different guest beers and ones they brew themselves. They are located in a old industrial building very cool. The beers were great service was excellent I would definitely recommend stopping in for a few.
Super nice outdoor space, the beers they do have were solid, but kinda weird a brewery of that size only had 3 of their own beers. Gave me the ick
We hosted a 100-person family reunion here, and the experience was fantastic. The staff was amazing, handling our numerous emails and changes with ease. We highly recommend Kristin and her team for future events.
Not enough staff
Wait time is unacceptable
Figure it out, CLB
City lights is a neat place to have a beer. They have a patio and great indoor seating. We were able to watch the Brewer game and try a variety of beers. The building is really interesting as it used to be a coal gasification plant. It has ample parking and seem to be well staffed. I tried a flight a beers which came plastic cups. They were tasty. Overall it is a neat microbrewery in a neat location.

Great food and great drinks! Hopping around breweries in Milwaukee and needed a place to eat, this was a lovely choice!
The head bartender (Kerrington) was great. We loved the hazy ipa (King Sue) and the coconut porter. Loved the outdoor seating by the river. Hope to be back!
I’m telling you the environment was fantastic I loved the food, the beer, and the servers. They were all kind and welcoming I definitely know even when it gets busy they are attentive to making sure everyone gets their orders in. Definitely come check city lights out! Plus their outdoor patio is so nice to drink & eat during the nice weather !
Stopped in before the Brewer game with three friends. There were 2 bartenders and it took 25 minutes to get our round of drinks. Total nightmare. They needed about five bartenders: not two. There must be poor management in place. Everyone was waiting for drinks. They could increase their revenue 5X if they were smart enough to be properly staffed. We will not be going back.
Went this past Sunday with friends for some food and a beverage. I am not drinking these days, so had an NA beverage. I felt sorry for the one bartender on staff who had to handle the entire room. I noticed people leaving because they had to wait to be served. Not his fault, by any stretch, as he was doing as good a job as anyone could under the circumstances. Really unfair of management to understaff the place. And, like many other patrons who have reviewed the brewery here, I got a $30 parking ticket for not backing into the parking space in the lot. My fault for not seeing the signs about this that were indeed posted, but I have never heard of such a ridiculous parking restriction. I understand this is the city's doing, not the brewery's, but I would think, knowing this happens a lot (there were a half dozen cars in the lot parked the wrong way who were also ticketed that day), that the brewery would post signs everywhere warning people of this. Even make it part of the server's greeting to make sure they don't get this unpleasant surprise as they leave. Really bad for business. I probably will never return here, or ever buy your beer because of this. Just left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth, pun intended. If I were the owners, I would work harder to get this restriction changed, as it makes absolutely no sense. Felt like entrapment. Still fuming about it.
