Denny's in Milwaukee

“Everything was great except the service. The food was prepared perfectly, the atmosphere felt welcoming. Its a busy location which is great for their business BUT, we entered and were asked to seat ourselves, which is fine because who doesn't want to pick their own seat. We sat, waited to be approached by our server. Nothing, another family comes in, they're seated personally, still ok. Then, the server almost immediately serves them. Now, im no Karen but I had to be in this moment. The same server saw us, even locked eyes with me. She knew we were there. Im not one to call someone out, but I walked to the front and asked why we weren't being served like the family who came in after us?

My server is a Latino woman, and most families and parties that came in were Latino as well. I am a white woman so naturally I assume she didnt want to serve me for that reason. I dont like to claim racism but in this moment, it certainly felt that way. The manager immediately took care of the situation and had a server come help us immediately. That server was also Latino but she was pretty great once we were served. The other server who basically overlooked us, couldn't look me in the eyes after that moment.

Overall, everything was great all except that one server. I will never forget her face and the look of shame on her face once she was called out. The manager really stepped up and turned the experience around for us. Food was delicious and the server assigned to us was great.“

“We went to a Denny's in Milwaukee, WI, It's located within walking distance from a Holiday Inn Express. We had a good experience at this location. I ordered a tea expecting a hot tea. The tea was my favorite raspberry ice tea which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was great. Considering we were in Milwaukee for a family funeral, Denny's was pleasant.“

“I'm giving this review because Tanya the new manager was awesome. She was curtious, kind and was great to talk to! My only issue was the food, I ordered the new fish dinner and did not enjoy it, the fish was dry (as if it was cooked too long) the wild rice and corn I orderd was horrible straight artifical tasting no flavor and actually, I've never tasted corn like that it was all thrown away. The turkey sandwich I ordered was full of butter on both sided and lightly toasted which means I taste more butter. I have always enjoyed Denny's food we even have it ubered sometime and it's slways good.This meal was a complete and utter fail I will not order those items again, but, I will come back (at a later time) to see if things did change for the better as far as the food goes anyway.“
