“My daughter and I went into Alem yesterday to order dinner for carry out. Neither of us have ever had Ethiopian food before but it had been on my bucket list to try. The woman working there was so helpful and friendly! She helped us pick out our order for our first experience with Ethiopian food and talked about how it is eaten. Not only was the food delicious but the customer service was so good that we were already talking about wanting to come back before we even walked fully out the door! “My girlfriend and I have tried various Ethiopian restaurants in Chicago and Orlando. Without hesitation, Ethiopian Cottage is EASILY the best one we’ve been to!

We ordered the lentil sambusa while my girlfriend got the veggie platter and I got the Doro Watt. I was floored by how delicious our food was. The chicken on my doro wat was incredibly juicy and tender. The sauce was perfection. My girlfriend absolutely loved her vegetable platter!

We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the near future! Highly recommend it!“
