“Cool atmosphere but typically very busy so you may have to wait for a seat. People here seem quite friendly. You have to go up to the counter to order food. Then they bring you your food but you've gotta take care of putting it away. The food is honestly hit or miss in my experience- sometimes it is SO so good, and sometimes it's honestly a little disappointing (especially regarding flavor). Overall, 4/5 stars.Vegetarian options: Their menu is 100% vegan“

“My mom and I stopped in last night, and we were blown away by the food! My mom really enjoyed the Superbad burger, and I LOVED the Pineapple Express burger. If you’ve ever been curious about meat alternatives, you have to check this place out because it was DELICIOUS. I also cannot stop thinking about the cauliflower wings - we got the sweet chili flavor, and honestly they’re the best vegan wings I’ve ever had. Beyond the food, the place is adorable and the young lady at the counter was so friendly. The vibes were perfect and we will be back soon!“

“The food is wonderful, but the place needs a deep cleaning and a facelift. It could be so much better. Clean the bathrooms!!! Clean the windows and mirrors. Straighten the pictures on the wall. If you want to get really crazy, a fresh coat of paint in the dining room would go a long way. And considering you serve food to be eaten by hand, a hot finger towel before the meal would be a thoughtful touch.“

“Used to love going here when it was a dine in and really glad they still have take out. The food is delicious! Before they opened, I had to drive down to Chicago or Minneapolis to sample Ethiopian food. After they did, never had to, I daresay it was even better in many cases. Great fresh taste, variety, loved the authentic single platter with hand communal dining experience and the servers were awesome. Now with takeout only the menu has understandably been pared back, I no longer see some of my favorite old combo meat platters and some vegan choices from before but the entrees they retain remain strong offerings with Doro Wat, Yebeg Tibs, Awaze Tibs and Kitfo along my staples on takeout every chance I get. The tongue tantalizing flavors are just something else, one of the best Ethiopian restaurants I've eaten at, bar none. Highly recommendedVegetarian options: Fewer offerings than before but they do have choices for vegans that are delicious and you get portions with the meat entrees as wellDietary restrictions: The teff injera is gluten free if I'm not mistaken“

Juiced! Cold-Pressed Juicery Juice • $$
640 S 5th St #2, Milwaukee

“Decided to join my cousins on a juice cleanse. It was my first time here. They have many flavors of juices and shots to choose from. They come with the cutest reusable bags (small and large) and the juice flavors are yummy! I opted for the 3 day cleanse, it's around $100 for 21 juice bottles. You drink 7 a day and watch the magic work within your body. Comes with a cute handy paper to help you get started. It was pretty neat to see the juice machines behind the counter as well. Starting my cleanse today! We shall see how this works! Even if you don't opt for the cleanses, they are great to have with meals or a snack individually.“

Riverwest Co-Op Grocery Vegetarian • $
733 E Clarke St, Milwaukee

“Love having this co-op in the neighborhood. I frequent here so much and love supporting them. Their selection is pretty dang good for being such a small shop, and they have reasonably priced local eggs. The grab and go cooler is so convenient, often have fresh baked goods at the counter, a good bulk selection where I can bring my mason jars in and fill them up, and they always have fresh locally roasted coffee for cheap. Missing the cafe but hoping there’s more and more pop up events!Editing to say I’m not sure why that person below me is so pressed about it costing $120 to join the co-op, it’s literally $20 for the year. Maybe for the lifetime benefits but you don’t have to pay that up front. You don’t have to be a member to shop here either.“
