“I've been here a handful of times with friends and family. The food and drinks here are always to die for. They use extremely fresh ingredients. All of the staff is also super kind! It is a self sit restaurant where serve yourself water, utensils, etc. You order your food/drinks at the bar and it will be brought to your table. Definitely recommend!“

“They are dog friendly and have consistently had good options on tap. Do know that they are a bar only, not a resturaunt. They have bags of chips for sale, but no food food. I like it because I like having a place out that I can take my dog. Dogs allowed inside and out on the patio.“

“my family of 6 stopped in there. and being a huge soccer fan because i played all my life and coached until an illness took it all away seeing soccer on the tvs was awesome. the knowledge of the game by the staff was great. food was so delicious. Cameron was our waiter and Brad was our cook. great duo to have preparing your food and serving. they went out of our way to make our stay amazing.“

“The traffic is so noisy you can hardly converse when sitting outdoors. Also, we had to move indoors cause of so many bees. These things are NOT the restaurant’s fault. *It is a nice ,clean,place, with good food & friendly staff. I highly recommend it! As tempting as their large patio is, think about eating indoors instead.“

“I have ordered from No. 1 Chinese Restaurant several times. Years ago, I thought their quality was so-so. Lately, they've been excellent. I like my Chinese takeout to be fresh, not-gloppy, with crisp vegetables and flavorful, but not too salty. I don't think they use MSG. More recently, I have ordered from their food through Grub Hub. Unfortunately, the last time Grub Hub screwed up and brought me the wrong order. It wasn't No 1's fault. I called No 1. and they sent the correct order, at their own expense. “My go to is usually a almond chai or Jolly Green Jenny, a single maple-syrup laced crepe and a side of tofu scramble. Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“

“I’ve been on a lot of brewery tours while traveling, and this one absolutely takes the crown.

If you get Christian (“The OG”) as your tour guide, consider yourself lucky. Between the dad jokes, imaginary points, and prizes. I laughed from beginning to end. His jokes about the different states everyone was from were hilarious, surprisingly accurate, and had the whole tour cracking up. I came for the Root Beer…and Beer tastings ….I stayed for the comedy.

What really impressed me was that the tour wasn’t just entertaining—it was incredibly informative. Christian did an amazing job sharing the history of Sprecher, explaining how their world-famous Root Beer and craft beers are made, and telling stories that actually stick with you. That’s rare. Most brewery tours are fun while you’re there; this is one you’ll still be talking about afterward.

Ironically, I’ve been to Sprecher before (because, let’s be honest, you can’t come to Milwaukee and skip the world-famous Root Beer), but the tour was full. This time I finally got to experience it, and it was well worth the wait.

The Root Beer samples were fantastic, the beer was delicious, and Christian deserves a raise…or at the very least a lifetime supply of Sprecher Root Beer for keeping us entertained.

One final tip: if you want “The OG” as your tour guide, plan your visit during summer break—he’s an algebra teacher the rest of the year! I guess that’s why he keeps score with imaginary points…math teachers really do have a formula for everything.

If you’re thinking about taking the tour, stop thinking and book it. Just make sure you ask for Christian “The OG.” Your imaginary points and prizes depend on it!“

“My work had a food truck day and it was my 1st time trying Fatty Patty. They did not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Filet sandwich and it was the BEST Chicken sandwich that I have had. The chicken was hand breaded and was so moist. Also got their Cheese Curds and they were delicious. Service was quick and the workers were very friendly. Also kudos to them working in their trucks when the temps were around 90. They did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend them for your event and I will try them again in the future.“
