Since I've ever known, Milwaukee has always struggled to provide decent options for Puerto Rican cuisine. Most recently we dared to update our understanding of what's available. La Caribena starts out strong, as you'll walk into a vibey, clean space staffed with a multitude of pleasant and competent female servers working the bar and dining room area wearing starched, white polos.
