“Great vibes, food, drinks and service. Cloud Red without a doubt is the best bar & restaurant in Shorewood and the North Shore. It’s generally pretty busy most nights. You have to order food at the bar, but it’s worth the wait. Delicious food, shareable apps, covered cozy back patio with fire pits and blankets, and front patio outside weather permitting. Lots of local Beer and kombucha on tap, plus well crafted cocktails.“

Please, yes we tip when we order sit down, but think about it we don't get seated, we have to give them a number, we must go fill our own coffee, and bus the table when we're finished?

“my family of 6 stopped in there. and being a huge soccer fan because i played all my life and coached until an illness took it all away seeing soccer on the tvs was awesome. the knowledge of the game by the staff was great. food was so delicious. Cameron was our waiter and Brad was our cook. great duo to have preparing your food and serving. they went out of our way to make our stay amazing.“

“Temple Goddess is the best vegan restaurant I’ve been to in Milwaukee. The menu has a wide variety of options and really shows how versatile and satisfying plant-based food can be, not just a couple of afterthought vegan items. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and clearly made with care and intention. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was excellent, and as someone who rarely eats out anymore, this is one of the few places I would happily return to.“

“Our first visit to Lebnani House, we will definitely be back. Food was delicious, the menu is large with lots of options. Our server, Kenza was fantastic. She gave us time to review the menu and described her favorites. I had the mixed grill, with three types of meat, my wife had the grilled mahi mahi fish fillet with tahini sauce. Both were fantastic. Can’t wait to return and try some of their other options.“

“This was our 4th time at 5 O'clock -- if you are looking for a great steak and an authentic Wisconsin supper-club, this is the place. Relish trays, wild, exuberant decor, and lots of energy. We had petit filets and a bone-in ribeye and they were all cooked perfectly and served in an au jus sauce. Very nice sear on the steaks. We also ordered onion rings and asparagus as sides -- very healthy portions for both and they were cooked nicely and arrived hot. Our appetizer was something I have never had or seen before "bacon sticks" -- and they were great tho I felt like my chance of a heart attack went up a few points while I was eating them. Basically, they were like long strips of crispy pork belly; super salty and smoky.“

“What a great find. Nice place, great energy. The service from hostess, bartender, waiter, and food runner was prompt, polite, and sincere. Food was excellent. The queso was flavorful, melty, and delicious paired with the lovely bread, and assortment of fruits. The empanadas were the obvious stars of the show - soft billowy outer shells that had a nice bite, filled with delicious stuffings. Dessert was great as well, opting for that sinful cookie bar with ice cream.“

“Leon's has been on South 27th Street since 1942 and they remodeled in the early 1950s into the neon-lit, walk-up drive-in format that still exists today, meaning the building you're standing in front of has looked more or less like this since before most of your relatives were born. There's no dining room. You walk up to the window, you order, you eat in the parking lot or on the hood of your car, and on a warm Milwaukee evening you are surrounded by a full cross-section of the city doing the exact same thing. It's one of those places that functions as a kind of social institution without anyone having to try.
The custard is made fresh daily with cream and eggs and it shows. The texture is dense and silky in a way that regular ice cream cannot match, which is something food writers have been saying about Leon's for decades and which is still true when you actually eat it. We had the Butter Pecan, which is one of three flavors always on rotation alongside vanilla and chocolate, and it has this nutty sweetness that holds up all the way to the bottom of the cone. The Super Sundae Special is the move if you're not sure what to order: vanilla custard, hot fudge, pecans, and a genuinely generous pile of cherries that they do not scrimp on.
The Hot Fudge Sundae is a separate thing from the Special and equally good, with a fudge that runs thick and warm and doesn't slide off into the cup immediately. We also had a chocolate shake just to see, and it was the kind of chocolate shake that makes you realize you've been settling for lesser versions of the thing for most of your life.“

It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“

What’s not to love? Saturday’s often bring a table or two of vending from local artisans. Their monthly socials benefit local spots like the library, and nonprofits. My only wish for this spot is for better signage on the outside so more people can find it!!“

“Went for the first time today for a doggo lunch date with muh fur baby. Wonderful staff and quick service. I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.“
