Super friendly staff. VERY quick order to food on the table time. Had the pork belly Benny and the carnitas con huevos and both were fresh and delicious. The hash browns (added onions) were some of the best I’ve ever had. Got an order of the French toast with Caramel and candied pecans and that was also very good. Based on recent reviews, Orenda Restaurant offers a bright and cheery atmosphere with super friendly staff and a nice clean bathroom. The food and service have always been good, with very quick order to food on the table time. The Chilaquiles with Carnitas added in a verde salsa are very good, with tender and nicely seasoned carnitas and perfect over easy eggs. The housemade corned beef cubes are tender, and the hashbrowns are perfect, crispy and tender and properly seasoned. The side of pancakes are fluffy and absorb the syrup quickly. The French toast with Caramel and candied pecans is also very good. However, some dishes have issues. The poached eggs for the corned beef hash were over-cooked and looked un-appetizing, and the hash lacked diced bell peppers and onions. One omelet was filled with chunks of ham that were nothing but gristle and fat, with multiple chunks of eggshell throughout. Other complaints include waiting for food too long, wobbly tables, a forgetful waitress, a warm restaurant, and cold coffee. Despite these problems, many guests have been coming for years and appreciate the excellent coffee, food, service, and atmosphere, noting it is better than the breakfast chains.
