“One of my favorite spots for girls night out or to bring my parents. I had my graduation dinner here and impressed all my relatives. My favorite menu item is the cilantro shrimp. Definitely a must try in Milwaukee if you like great food and top-notch cocktails.“
“This place is super clean and food was absolutely delicious! portion is more than enough and sizes are bigger than what you see in the picture or video. I would definitely recommend it and can't wait to try different flavors next time ? I ordered the hot dog pie, spicy spinach, akkawi cheese with parsley and mint, and muhammara and ALL TASTED SUPER DELICIOUS!“
“I always point people to this spot when they ask where my favorite pizza is. I love the unique combinations that they come up with. We got two pizzas and some spinach artichoke dip. Our server had a lot of energy and was very attentive. We made a reservation on a Thursday and I'm glad we did because the place was poppin. There was live music, too.“
“I’m not one to review… but good things deserve a “toot toot” and this place gets it. Solid service. Fair price. Fast service. Friendly service. Busy night. Cool owner. Kid friendly. Literally any and all boxes checked. Thank you! 2nd time for some and we’ll be back for more. Onward and upward.“
“My husband and I stopped in for dinner tonight after not visiting for a couple of years. Everything was amazing. Our server, Lauren, was awesome- attentive, kind, easy to talk to, and gave us some awesome recommendations. My husband had one of the pastas (paccheri alla genovese) and said it was the best thing he’s ever eaten! Always thankful for an evening here❤️“
“Great spot for date night! We made a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was very nice and checked in frequently. Food came out faster than expected. The chicken piccata meatballs were delicious. The portion sizes for our main dishes were very generous, so we had left overs. Both dishes were great! The espresso martini was a little creamy, which was amazing. We were too full for dessert but definitely want to try something next time!“
“My husband an I went to this restaurant without a reservation and they had no problem accommodating us, which was awesome. We had one of the best waiters we have ever had!She recommended so many delicious menu items! Their Caesar salad is incredible with thick homemade dressing. My pasta with shrimp and scallops was so great! We will be back …for the .Tiramisu?️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️“
“I have not had the food. I usually just go for a beer. They have a great rewards program and they always have a great beer selection, so many varieties. The staff is always friendly but today Julie, the bartender and by herself and she was busy but she was still super friendly and took great care of us.“
“If I had to sum up my experience at Filippos in 1 sentence it would be "bang for your buck casual Italian dining with high quality service" We chose Filippos as our valentine day celebration meal. My aunt had trouble calling ahead for reservations but when I called they answered straight away and were very accommodating. The restaurant was a little less than half full on this Wednesday/Valentines day. They were a great restaurant to take a little toddler too, they had so much fun with our two year old and did not seem bothered whatsoever, a true family friendly restaurant. Everyone enjoyed our four course meal. We started out with bread, they brought plenty, some garlic and some plain. Next course was a minestrone that was quite tasty. Everyone's meals came with salad next which was a basic house salad with iceberg lettuce. Next came our huge portion dinners. Not one of us had anything to complain about. The food was so tasty. I ordered the chicken Alfredo but tried the primavera and was obsessed, will definitely be ordering that on my next visit. The chicken cordon bleu is coated with mushrooms so beware it's not just on the side. We ended our night with a cannoli and tiramisu, the perfect ending to a great meal. Our server was so patient with us as we were cackling while ordering. She was very attentive and the food was speedy. Filippos gives the vibes of a family owned no frills business that I'm drawn to. A new west allis staple for me We all left so full and everyone had leftovers.“
“I always see this spot posted all over Reddit so I thought it was time to check it out. It's a nice walk from the Third Ward and also right on the Green Line. Parking can get tight but there is a paid lot nearby. The place was pretty busy which caused slower service, but staff remained attentive. The bar and dining room both had plenty of seating. This would be a great spot for large groups! I ordered a glass of wine and the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich with a side caeser. I was disappointed in the wine list, especially for an Italian restaurant. The glass of wine I ordered was pretty stale which makes me think they might not sell a lot of wine. Again, odd for an Italian restaurant. The sandwich was excellent. It had perfectly crisp eggplant with a flavorful marinara and plenty of cheese. I like that they serve giardinera to add some extra crunch and spice to the sandwich. I would love to return for the pizza that I read so much about! The food was amazing!“
“Somehow I haven't been inside the original Zaffiro's in years. I love being able to get it at the movies, but I've been annoyed that I'm not in their delivery zone. Nothing has changed in the interior - possibly ever. This is a straight up old school Wisconsin tavern with a small dining room on the side. Service was very friendly. The place was packed with people waiting in line to be seated or to pick up to go orders. The pizza was predictably great - slightly charred cracker crust, plenty of toppings, good sauce proportion. We had three different types at the table and everyone was happy. Why four stars? Getting the food on our table took a really, really long time. Still a classic though.“
“What a lovely coffee oasis in Milwaukee's lower east side. Stopped by here on a Saturday morning for bites and the hope of an espresso drink. Since it's winter, their seating options are somewhat limited, but we were able to get a hightop table (right near the heater no less!). I ordered a caramel mocha made with almond milk. What a lovely beverage. Their espresso is clean and smooth and of the highest quality. Neither the chocolate nor caramel were overly sweet--it was delicious. I got their M40 commuter breakfast sandwich. It comes with egg, sausage, smoked ham, pepper jack cheese, and house made cheese sauce on a toasted english muffin. I had them nix the ham and swapped out the pepper jack for cheddar. I think the house made cheese sauce must be pepper jack based as they didn't add that either (no biggie). It made for a basic but tasty breakfast sandwich. Their space is amazing for summer with plenty of outdoor and indoor/outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back in the warmer months. The only slightly bizarre thing is there is also a Nomad bar on the corner (about half a block away). I'm sure it's part of the same biz but is definitely separate. We wandered in there looking for coffee (our mistake). So, if you find yourself in a bar, exit and go down the block/side street a bit and you'll find it! Get to it!“
“We trekked up to the north shore to try this Siciliano ristorante. We, being my 12-year-old son and me, the guy who lived in Italy for four years. My son is a pizza margarita aficianato. His review was simply, "this is a 9 for Milwaukee and a 6 or 7 for Italia." I also had a pizza (parmigiana e melanzana). The sauce was outstanding. The crust was near perfect as well. The cheese was not top shelf, but still tasty. We had the melanzane fritte as an appetizer. Again, the sauce was unbelievable (we even bought two jars on our way out). The ambience was a tad noisy, but that isn't the restaurant's fault. What's up with Midwestern women thinking everything everyone says at their table calls for feigned belly laughs? My ears are still ringing. Our server was kind and clearly overworked. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Carini's is a great place. I would give it a 5 star but I have had better pizza in two other Wisconsin places. Still, give it a try. I would go back without hesitation.“
“I love coming here but please take Rosemary out of the gin and juice I was a bit offended lbvs. Just keep it simple Gin.. Juice. That’s it. The last time I had it was amazing I think the manager made it. Anyways I love coming here it’s ALWAYS a great time!! Even when the skeeball takes my money we always get great service and help when it happens. Amazing staff seriously amazing! Highly recommend when you want to have a great time with some old school games. It makes my inner child happy <3“
“Mandi is an amazing server/bartender. Our drinks and food were served quickly and we didn't wait too long for any refills. She always has a smile on her face and communicates with every single customer. She is friendly and an asset to Liquid Johnny's. We will definitely be coming back!“
“Best crust and best pizza in Milwaukee. Can’t believe I haven’t rated it yet. The couple that owns and runs the place are very friendly and welcoming. They rotate pizza choices throughout the year so when you go will dictate which of the special pizzas are available. Great beer list and always the best background music, too!“
“Only reason for four stars was the price. We ordered two pizzas and two appetizers and the price came out to $95 before tip. However, the pizza was great. They had basically any topping you could think of and seemed like very quality ingredients. Also the atmosphere is pretty nice too.“
“A thoroughly enjoyable meal before a concert downtown. You have to be comfortable with your chair touching a strangers chair, because the tables are packed in, and all the voices make for a lively, loud atmosphere. Personally I liked it. We started with a caprese salad which was very good. They served good, slightly warmed bread and butter, it comes with the meal but we requested it before the meal and they accommodated us. I had the gnocchi and meatballs which was delicious, my wife had the margarita pizza which was also tasty. Nothing was so good I would purposely travel there for, but a very solid choice if you’re in town at dinner time.“
“Steny’s is a go-to for sports, their trivia is so fun, and I cannot think of a time I’ve been and it’s not been great. Bartenders and servers are super friendly, you do have to keep in mind that when it’s absolutely packed, there will be some small delays!Vegetarian options: They have a vegan chicken that’s really great to add and are so helpful making something vegan for me. My favorite is the G Thang salad as a wrap with the faux chicken. Also, their side of veggies is the BEST most simple side you could want.“
“Whenever a restaurant comes under new ownership, there is always a question of what will happen with the recipes that made it noteworthy. Lucky for us, the new owners (Hannah and Dean) kept what worked and added their own amazing additions, backed by their own developing culinary backgrounds and experiences. For example, along with the traditional sauce that made Lisa's pizza so delicious, there is also Hannah's own dessert recipes, an espresso martini made with Dean's own cold brew coffee recipe and the garlic bread, also created by Dean. While small changes have been made to the interior, with more slowly on the way, you will still find the dining room dimly lit and intimate. Although service was a little slow to start, our girl who seemed to be running the whole show did the best she could. Then Dean arrived, and he did an excellent job engaging and assisting us. He was kind enough to answer all our questions and make recommendations. The large cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion pizza we shared was fantastic and made with a generous amount of toppings. The combo plate veggies had a crispy coating, which kept their texture tender but not soft. The cheesy garlic bread was to die for. One of, if not THE best, I've ever had. DO NOT go here without ordering some! Then there's the Tiramisu. WOW. You could taste the coffee, although not overwhelmingly so, and the cream was fluffy and not overly sweet. Lisa's has been a Milwaukee staple, and it was wonderful to experience the classic flavors that brought us back, as well as new flavors that will keep us coming back for more!“
“We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Tenuta's this weekend! I failed to make a reservation so we sat at the bar, but the experience was not compromised at all. It was very cozy and the bartender was extremely attentive and sweet, I wish I had caught her name to give her a shout-out. We highly recommend the carbonara, bistecca and cannolis!“
“Anodyne consistently delivers a great experience at all of their coffee shops that I have visited in Milwaukee and this one is no exception. This shop would be a good place to set up a laptop and get some work done, with plentiful seating and tables. Easily accessible by MCTS Route 15.“
“Very good pizza! The slices are MASSIVE so even with just one slice, you're set for lunch. I like that they do custom single slices too.The customer service is also lovely and I enjoy the vibes. It feels small and intimate without being super cramped.Parking: Small/moderate sized parking lot across the street“
“This was my first time ordering from here on takeoutThe only thing I can say is wowFrom the friendly woman who took my order on the phoneTo the friendly delivery driverAnd as far as the foodI ordered from a lot of placesThe pizza was hugeAnd The Taste was excellentAlso very good pricesThis will be my number one place to order “
“Enjoyed the pizza a lot. I was expecting a classic Milwaukee cracker crust. What I got was more like a NY crust with the toppings and sauce flavor profile of a Milwaukee thin. It was a nice fusion. My only complaint was that the restaurant had the vague smell of a sewer backup. Hopefully that was just a one-time anomaly.“
“Yummy if not quirky pizza spot located in kind of a food mall-ish business building. Having lived in Chicago for ten years, I know a thing or two about good pizza. And how there is no 'one best pizza'. Do you like stuffed? Deep dish? Thin? Cracker? Detroit type? If you like wood fired sour dough pizza, this is the place for you. The dough is fresh and tasty. The topping selection is good and robust. The sauce is very good also. From our experience, The star of the show is the garlic bites. Probably the best I've ever had. This is not a place I'd plan to go eat at. There are less than 5 tables somewhat just placed in an open area that serves a few other businesses. Think mall setting. This is really a carry out type business. Quirky seating and location thing aside, if you like this kind of pizza, it's the best wood fired pie we've had in Milwaukee.“
“Ordered for pickup last night (12 pc chicken with fries annd extra slaw, two bags of cookies annd bottle of hot sauce) and the food was delicious, staff was exceptionally polite and service was great. Everything was in one bag and made it simple for me to grab and go. Initially I called and they said it would be ready in only 20 minutes but I got it in 13 and a half minutes which was quick. The guy was also answering the phone the whole time I was waiting in the lobby taking calls back to back and writing and he was polite to everyone who called and got there orders put out chronologically and timely manner. Will definitely come back again. Not sure what the other bad reviews are about, seems like they just have a lot of haters because they actually have good food and good service!!“
“El Prez needs to come to this place. Tanino's has some of the best this crust around Milwaukee and the surrounding area. Cant find a better pie. Great undercarriage, nice crunch on the crust. Not much flop at all. Very good pizza. If i was a betting man id say a solid 7.9. Highly recommend. On another note. The owner is super friendly and who im guessing is the son or atleast the manager could have gotten me for $35 with the coupon but pointed out that itd be cheaper charging me for for what i wanted at regular price and it was. Not many places are honest like that. 10 outta 10..Oh incase anyones been under a rock. When i say El Prez i mean Dave Portnoy lol. One bite, everyone knows the rules!“
“My wife and I ate there last week, and even though they were hosting a large tour group, they're still able to give us personal and attentive service! The pizza- - oh my goodness it was so good! The cheesy garlic bread really sent it over the top! They have a great wine and beer selection to compliment their incredible pizzas! Gary was a gracious host and very attentive- we will be going there again most definitely!“
“It's my second time being here. We went in earlier than expected and they allowed us to adjust our reservations for 6. Service was good and so was our server. The drinks were decent (could be a tad better). Plenty of booze in them though! My custom pizza was excellent. Highly recommend. Clearly fresh ingredients. Definitely will go back.“
“I placed a very big order for an event at my company. Everything was perfect. The Pizza was hot and ready right on time. Ordering and paying online was a breeze. The owner of the restaurant was very accommodating and so nice! The staff at my company absolutely loved the pizza and the house salad. Definitely recommend, and, if we have the opportunity in the future, would definitely order from Brick 3 again!“
“I was first introduced to Ned's in 1983. And the taste of Ned's hasn't changed. It was like going back in time that took me back to my childhood. Keep up the good work !Parking: Parking is right in the front. You won't be in there long you call in your order to take about 15 to 20 minutes you'll be in and out. They put your pizza in a box. I don't care for the box so. I asked them to put it in the bag.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right in and roll right out. Right now the dining room is under construction so you can go right to the window“
“Wallace was fun, easy to talk to, and made me the most fabulous Mai Tai I’ve ever had. They have great recommendations and it helped that everyone in the bar loved them too and helped me figure out what I should get to drink! Amazing atmosphere to which I credit Wallace. We had the best “
“We visited Clementines for the first time today because we have an "old fashioned passport" and it was one of the places in it closest to home.We pulled up to a pretty typical looking neighborhood bar. Inside it was a comfortable size with a large oval bar in the middle. With multiple TV on different walls showing different movies. We were greeted right away by the bartender, Megan. She made two fabulous Old Fashioneds (one sweet brandy and one sour bourbon). Megan as well as the other customers we're all very friendly. We also tried the Northeast Cider Donut cider which is dangerously good! As well as playing bar dice for the first time (for me).And I saw many other great looking drinks prepared while we hung out.Is a very friendly comfortable type bar with a little more upsclae drinks. We'll definitely be back soon!“
“Been living in the Milwaukee area for almost 5 years and just came across this restaurant on Uber Eats, after looking at a few reviews, I Decided to try their Pasta. And let’s just say. They didn’t come to disappoint at all. I’m extremely pleased the flavor is there. The noodles in the cream sauce are so buttery and rich. Thank you.“
“We got our 1st pizza from Cataro’s Pizza last night at 11:15pm after seeing the band Without Annette at Da Bar nearby. We were hungry so we searched pizza open late near me. That’s how we found this amazing pizza. The owner had closed the dining room early because business has been so slow but he offered to make us one to go. It was so good! I highly recommend this place. We’ll definitely be back!“
“Stepped into a slice of heaven where the crust crackled with each bite, perfectly complementing the gooey, cheesy goodness of the mac and cheese topping. The staff were stars, making the experience shine even brighter. And the decor? Totally one-of-a-kind - it's not just a meal, it's a vibe. Definitely a must-visit! Great spot for lunch they have a lunch deal for 2 slices of pizza, 2 garlic knots, and a soda for only $9.50!“
“December 23rd, my family had our Family Christmas party here. Great time. I also came here for the Friday fish fry. Great catfish, very delicious. Excellent customer service and staff. Great venue for a party, delicious food and great price.“
“They have about 30 to 40 different kinds of fish and shrimp! Check out their menu on their website. I had a Arapaima fish fry which was great. The atmosphere was electric and they had a lot of great music playing. They space was pretty roomy since they have 2 different bar areas.“
“From the appetizer to the entree to the dessert everything was impeccably delicious!! The osso buco was as delicious as what you would find in Milan which I have had. The pasta was the perfect al dente and I am picky about the pasta. Wonderful service too. You have to try this place once you will be back. It's a 10 out of 10!!!“
“Ordered a pepperoni & sausage $15 + One topping pepperoni at PROMO price $9 total $28 & the pizza was really good. I picked my order up much later than the time that i ordered it and even though the pizza was sitting awhile before i picked it up it tasted very good once i ate it at home & the customer service at pick up was amazing over the phone & in person in spite of my late arrival. My family & i will definitely be returning. Also i would like to mention my kids said the slushies are the best cause they dont melt fast!!!Kid-friendliness: Slushies , good selections, kid approved“
“I’ve been ordering from Chicken Man/Gianelli’s for over 30 years. My parents got it when I was a kid and I have been ordering since for my family! Great food for a reasonable price, which is not easy to find as much! But definitely great food and service!“
“Me and my girlfriend came from illinois on a weekend trip and decided to make a reservation. Great energy in the restaurant, great service provided by Maggie. And great food. We got 3 appetizers and 2 burgers and cocktails and spent abt 100 bucks.“
“Pizza Shuttle is an iconic pizza place. It's located on the east side where parking can be difficult, but they have, easy to access, parking for all patrons. There's a plethora of food items, and the atmosphere is fun. Take your family and kids. Take a friend. Regardless, be prepared to enjoy a variety of food items!!“
“Good food and nice staff. It's only take outParking: Great location along with good food. I haven't had a problem in a long time. Once my hush poppies were to be heard but I haven't had that problem after talking to the lady taking the orders. She was very understanding“
“We came in early for lunch and a bloody. Skyler was the best bartender and was all alone at first, but you would have never known. Great service. Then Jake came in and he was amazing too! He ran some football pools, raffles, and made us feel really welcome for us to enjoy the Packer game! The burgers were great and wings too! ♡“
“Started having Marcos pizza when I worked at the Delco Electronics plant in Oak Creek approx 35 years ago. Still eating it to this day. Only on the Northwest location now. Quality and taste has not changed. Still the best pizza in town. Joe“
“We do takeout here more than I’d like to admit. It’s the best pizza in Milwaukee. I’ve been hesitating even writing this review because it’s a best kept secret and I’d like for it to stay that way, but this business also deserves to thrive.Thin crust, right amount of sauce, cheese isn’t soggy on top, customizable toppings.. it’s just the best.“
“My fave,so tasty and everybody who works there is so friendly. If you have not tried it this is a must stop place you will not be disappointed. Been going there since the 70s with my dad and now I take my kids and grandkids there love it and so will you.“
“Great pizzas, pastas and cocktails. The Agrigento (sausage & pep with garlic sauce base) is the best. Great service, knowledgeable staff, and comfortable atmosphere. Passion goes into what they do here and it shows. Definitely a must try if you are a fan of Italian food.“
