“SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS PLACE! They had such a great atmosphere. It is so bright and welcoming and extremely clean! We hosted my labs 2nd bday party here and had a group of about 20 people. My dog had an absolute BLAST and so did I! John the owner was so welcoming and helpful. He was so easy to work with and made sure that everything was to our liking at all times. Highly recommend this spot with or without a dog. The added bonus is the food and drink is fantastic! They have a great selection of both and make a mean cocktail. I cannot say enough about this place!“

“Overall just a perfect corner bar, every aspect nailed - I have to say the standout quality to me was the sound system. The music selection was wide and tasteful but the real star for me was the actual sound. I’m not sure if I’ve heard as high quality of sound at a bar in my life. Clear with sub-bump and doesn’t interfere with conversation even at higher volume. I saw heads nodding all night, so dope.“

“Been here a couple of times and it's probably my favourite of the bars and rec spots. They recently added a system where you can buy drinks at fluctuating prices throughout the night and you're essentially given a free drink as well, which is pretty sweet. People on staff last time I went were Cap, Taelor, Robbie, & Destiny who were all very kind to me and my friends throughout the night and provided great service. I've truly never had a bad time here and would recommend trying one of their specialty drinks called 'the money maker' (everyone in my group ended up ordering it after trying a sip of mine lol).“

“We went on taco Tuesday. The tacos leave a little to be desired. I had corn tortillas with mine, but they fell apart and were cold. The meat, carnitas, was very plentiful, which I loved. But it was dry and a little tough to eat. I also ordered an empanada, which was the highlight of the evening and much envied by my companions, who all ordered tacos.Besides the food, which I want to go back to try multiple other options on their menu, the service was very slow. We had a group of 4, and dinner service took 2 full hours, plus whatever time my friends waited before my partner and I got there. It was a good 20-25 mins before the waiter took our first drink order. We were there an hour before they came back for food orders. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks, though they did refill the waters right at the very end while we were waiting for the check. Just... So slow. And it was empty in there!Again, I want to go back, which will take a little convincing to my partner, to try other things on their menu. Maybe sit at the bar next time? That might reduce the service time significantly.“

The hot sauce had a sweet tang to it but had the kick from the red peppers. The fries were so crispy and the croutons for the salad was great. As far as “best wings ever”- not so much. The wings weren’t crispy and we asked for all flats, which they couldn’t do. But they gave us more drums than flats which was disappointing.Other than that, not a bad experience. She got back to me in a timely fashion & reassured me about my questions. When we got there (around 8:30) there was still room in their free parking lot. We were warmly greeted at the door & they were already expecting us. There is a cover charge, but again, free parking & music, so not unexpected. Caroline personally came up & greeted us. We were tended to the entire time by her great bar staff. Drinks were very good & reasonable. The Donna Woodall group was playing & they were some of the best jazz we’ve heard in a long time! A must see & hear! We are not anybody special but were treated that way. Caroline’s deserves more than 5 stars. We will be back!“

“Absolutely fantastic! After a long day of traveling and an afternoon walking all around Milwaukee, I came to Buckley’s with my parents for dinner. This converted home has been turned into a fancy-casual restaurant with an exquisite atmosphere. I tried the Broccoli starter, which came with a nice miso tahini sauce that provided a unique flavor. The Buckley Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat itself was so high quality and full of flavor, and the crisp brioche bun and toppings and condiments complimented the burger perfectly. I also had the Lobster pasta and it lives up to how delicious a lobster dish has to be. Absolute class when it came to combining the lemon and tomato flavors with the lobster in a light pasta dish. My Dad also says the salmon dish he had was really good. For dessert, it was hard to choose which of Mrs. Buckley’s items to get. We got the famous carrot cake and the seasonal St. Patrick’s cheesecake. All I know is that Mrs. Buckley doesn’t miss! Both desserts were so delicious and the high quality showed once again. The service was great, too. We were never rushed even with the restaurant being packed. The waitress was very nice, answered questions, and told us a little bit about the Buckley family. On top of everything mentioned, the pricing was very good and the portions were large. Overall, this is a restaurant I trust after my first visit. You can’t go wrong with Buckley’s. 5 STARS!!!!!“

For dinner we had cod, perch and coconut shrimp with potato pancakes and fries. All came with coleslaw and bread. The portions were huge and all tasted great. The only issue was that it took over an hour to get our dinner. This was because they had 1 server and 1 bartender for a full house, and although they were extremely under staffed, I felt they worked their tails off and were very friendly and attentive under all that pressure. We spent $125 for 2 appetizers, 4 meals and 8 cocktails which i think was very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. I'm sure the staffing issue was a one off so we plan to go again. “This is a unique drinking establishment for Walker’s Point, or what some people call the Fifth Ward. The current trend calls for a craft brewery, an independent distillery, an ersatz gourmet restaurant, or a place left over from the clandestine 1980s or 1990s. Breaking that template, Wall Street is a black owned, sultry cocktail bar with the sounds of “sweet soul music” filling the handsome space. Milwaukee may be growing up, accepting its diversity and realizing it can be urbane without losing its roots. That beer and a shot town may be long gone.Looking like more like a model from Paris or New York City, the proprietor Sharisse, named the bar after her mother who taught her finance and how to use economic investment to further yourself in a competitive world. Sharisse’s presence adds class and panache to the Wall Street Stock Bar. Less of a South Side bar, and more NYC or Paris, the Wall Street offers an array of delicious mixed cocktails and tasty bites to eat. Helping to tend bar, Naomi greets you with her bubbly personality and a ready smile, making everyone feel welcomed. Prices are a little higher than the typical corner tavern, but Wall Street pays off with a sophistication lacking from most places in Milwaukee. It reminds me of when Elsa’s on the Park first opened, breaking the mold in the Cream City, bringing Karl Kopp’s vision of a cool and hip Milwaukee to fruition.Go to the Wall Street Stock Bar and support the “new Milwaukee.” It isn’t all bar dice and dem and dose anymore.“

“Staff was not responsive at first, but then when our issue was figured out they were helpful in figuring out what went wrong. The place is small and cramped, so don't bring a huge group here. There's also no high tech screens if that's the kind of thing you need“

“Awesome hidden gem of South Side MKE. Great ownership with lots of family history. This is a dive bar that I can enjoy. Pool table n darts plus gaming machines. Not to mention they have cooked meals sometimes ready for you if you need to soak up your good time.“

“My neighborhood "cheers". I moved to the area 2yrs ago, and I just started visiting this place in the summer. I like it here. There's always good vibes. Sarah and Dawn are awesome! Sarah makes the best wings and they have a nice variety of flavors! The drinks are well made, and the prices are affordable. It's a nice place for a quick bite to eat and a drink after work. Game days are always a go!“
