“My go to is usually a almond chai or Jolly Green Jenny, a single maple-syrup laced crepe and a side of tofu scramble. Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“

“This is some of the best custard you’ll ever have. I have found all their flavors that I’ve tried so far to be amazing. I would recommend getting a dish and not a cone because this custard melts very quickly and makes an annoying mess. Eating out of a simple dish fixes that problem. Highly recommend coming here!“

“Listening to Weezer along side the train tracks under a highway overpass. This is a brewery located in the old industrial area of Milwaukee. The menu includes snacks and several types of beer. A couple fruited sours, a tasty and malty oktoberfest and a bunch of ales. Solid selections, if not remarkable, everything a solid B. Disclaimer, this is a brewery in the Wisconsinest city, there will likely be children, if not infants present. Of this'll twist your panties, you should avoid. Lots and lots of seating, though half of it is outside.“

“Amorphic's 3 year anniversary party was absolutely epic. The space is incredible. I can't wait to try the golf simulator. The beer keeps evolving, and it attracts a very nice crowd. I highly recommend bringing friends and building memories.“

You either go light with the fruity or buried (with a smile on your face) under a barrel aged imp stout. Deep flavor. The pizza is more of a doughy flatbread than a true pizza IMO, still tasty. The crust could use a little more chew, but still good. Fun vibe with the music playing and the patio open. My only criticsm was only one server and while she was hustling and answering questions, one person can help one customer at a time.“

I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.“

“A perfect third space for gathering in small groups in a place that doesn’t focus on alcohol. Lots of pastry and beverage options, including selections with and without caffeine. Staff is friendly and kind. The space is pretty and bright, with seating options for individuals, pairs, and groups. A nice place to work on a laptop or have a conversation with a friend.“

The vegetable curry was great with a rich flavor and well cooked veggies. The chicken katsu was crispy and juicy but lacked some flavour. The combination with the rice was very comforting.

Whether it’s wiffle ball, darts, or kicking back and enjoying a Beach Ball (my personal favorite Pineapple Milkshake IPA) no brewery comes close to offering the atmosphere of Broken Bat. But what really makes Broken Bat so special especially to the city of Milwaukee is they care about the people and the surrounding community. They aren’t here to just make another craft beer and take your dollar. If you’ve ever met the owner Tim you’ll understand what I’m saying. So… Whether you’re in the area or at a local store, grab a beer made by Broken Bat Brewing Company. You’re doing yourself a favor and supporting an establishment that deserves it. “If you’re reading this, make the reservation. Easily a 10/10 meal. We started with the burrata, their specialty. It was, in a word, divine. The bread was perfectly toasted. The salad underneath the burrata changes seasonally, and the apricot, honey, and truffle oil elevated it beyond expectation. I could have had another order of this for my entrée and been set. My chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unpretentious but perfectly executed. The potatoes and broccolini came to life with the lemon caper sauce. My husband had the mac n’ cheese with short rib. The creamy mac and tender meat don’t compete in flavor — they’re in a loving, happy marriage. This is what restaurant BBQ mac should be. I’m not usually a crème brûlée person, or at least, I thought I wasn’t. I let my husband pick the dessert, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly creamy and flavorful. This is the experience you want when you decide you’re ordering a dessert. The service was top-notch. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were all delightful. Heirloom MKE delivered one of my favorite dinners to date.“

We ordered appetizers and wings. It seemed like our appetizers came out in about 10 minutes. The quality and flavor of our food was unbelievable. Probably the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place. You have to park in the street but the neighborhood seemed peaceful and safe. Btw lots of families with kids enjoying dinner. 😎“
