Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“

“Leon’s Frozen Custard is an absolute must-visit! 🍦😍 I honestly think this is some of the best frozen custard I’ve ever tasted. This classic drive-in has been around since 1942 and still serves incredibly rich, smooth, and creamy custard, along with delicious sundaes and floats. 🍨🥤 They also have burgers, hot dogs, and fries if you’re looking for something savory. 🍔🍟 The vintage atmosphere makes it feel like stepping back in time, which adds so much charm to the experience. Service was quick, friendly, and courteous. Definitely a memorable stop and a place I’d happily visit again! ❤🙌“

“Listening to Weezer along side the train tracks under a highway overpass. This is a brewery located in the old industrial area of Milwaukee. The menu includes snacks and several types of beer. A couple fruited sours, a tasty and malty oktoberfest and a bunch of ales. Solid selections, if not remarkable, everything a solid B. Disclaimer, this is a brewery in the Wisconsinest city, there will likely be children, if not infants present. Of this'll twist your panties, you should avoid. Lots and lots of seating, though half of it is outside.“

Whether it’s wiffle ball, darts, or kicking back and enjoying a Beach Ball (my personal favorite Pineapple Milkshake IPA) no brewery comes close to offering the atmosphere of Broken Bat. But what really makes Broken Bat so special especially to the city of Milwaukee is they care about the people and the surrounding community. They aren’t here to just make another craft beer and take your dollar. If you’ve ever met the owner Tim you’ll understand what I’m saying. So… Whether you’re in the area or at a local store, grab a beer made by Broken Bat Brewing Company. You’re doing yourself a favor and supporting an establishment that deserves it. “Stopped here for dinner after the Spurs Bucks game in Milwaukee (Go Spurs Go). We got seated right away, it was very busy and a little bit loud. The wait staff was very engaging and really helpful. We ordered appetizers and wings. It seemed like our appetizers came out in about 10 minutes. The quality and flavor of our food was unbelievable. Probably the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place. You have to park in the street but the neighborhood seemed peaceful and safe. Btw lots of families with kids enjoying dinner. 😎“

“Went for the first time today for a doggo lunch date with muh fur baby. Wonderful staff and quick service. I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.“

Staff is friendly and kind. The space is pretty and bright, with seating options for individuals, pairs, and groups. A nice place to work on a laptop or have a conversation with a friend.“

Strawberry shortcake pie tastes like summer and the peach pie is blue ribbon worthy. We all enjoyed a coffee and treat whole enjoying the cafe outdoor seating.“

My chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unpretentious but perfectly executed. The potatoes and broccolini came to life with the lemon caper sauce. My husband had the mac n’ cheese with short rib. The creamy mac and tender meat don’t compete in flavor — they’re in a loving, happy marriage. This is what restaurant BBQ mac should be. I’m not usually a crème brûlée person, or at least, I thought I wasn’t. I let my husband pick the dessert, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly creamy and flavorful. This is the experience you want when you decide you’re ordering a dessert. The service was top-notch. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were all delightful. Heirloom MKE delivered one of my favorite dinners to date.“
