We stumbled upon The Purple Door this evening, and the only thing I'm sad about is that tomorrow is our last day. The ice cream was phenomenal and we received great service. We'll definitely go back for one last visit during our trip, but I'm finding myself wondering if we'd be able to keep some pints frozen during our 6.5 hour drive home. This classic drive-in has been around since 1942 and still serves incredibly rich, smooth, and creamy custard, along with delicious sundaes and floats. 🍨🥤 They also have burgers, hot dogs, and fries if you’re looking for something savory. 🍔🍟 The vintage atmosphere makes it feel like stepping back in time, which adds so much charm to the experience.
