“We’ve gone twice in the last few days so hopefully I recount all the items we’ve tried so far and name them correctly lol. Biscuits and gravy! This is the best I’ve ever had. The biscuit was thick and hearty but not dry, and the gravy was absolutely the best I’ve tasted. Homemade comfort at its finest—rich and savory with a fantastic flavor. I look forward to the next time, and I just finished eating it. The almond matcha cookie—I’m not normally a matcha fan, but this cookie was intriguing. It started with a thin, crispy almost sugar cookie flavor outer layer at first, then the almond flavor shines through. Not overly sweet just a good thick, soft cookie. The butterscotch blondie— you can really taste the butter. It was the first sweet I tried here, and it immediately got me hooked. The Oreo blondie—my kid devoured it before I could even take a bite. The egg sandwich on sourdough with sausage was good. I added the homemade chili oil which I got on the side, as I’m sometimes a wimp with spice, but this chili oil is so flavorful I’d put it on everything. So if I order a cookie with a side of chili oil you just nevermind- I might need some of this to keep on hand. It adds a nice bite without overpowering the other flavors—just the right amount of heat. The fluffernutter cookie—what?!! yes, definitely try it! Obv Carrot cake bites -carrot cake yes frosting yes - I need more. Everything we’ve tasted so far has been excellent. You can tell it’s homemade, the flavors come through clearly, and it’s just comforting, delicious food. Can I add that the people working there have gone above and beyond and truly enjoy what they do and this place! They are the best food consultants :) they spent so much time with us explaining the items and it got me to try some things I might not have otherwise. Oh and the building itself - the space has a great warm friendly vibe.“

I was skeptical because we came close to closing time but the food came out fast looking picture perfect and tasted out of this world!! “We love this place. Our dog visited for the first time and sat outside with us. The sausage and hash brown hand pie was warmed up perfectly, crispy and buttery! Not microwaved and soft. Strawberry shortcake pie tastes like summer and the peach pie is blue ribbon worthy. We all enjoyed a coffee and treat whole enjoying the cafe outdoor seating.“

Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Go there for healthy ish eats but mostly go because it feeds your soul.“

“Excellent recent experience. We visited on a Thursday afternoon. That made our tour group very small, just two adults. Very welcoming greetings with the staff. The best part is the presentation of the tour. If you enjoy great presentations of history, neat tidbits you might not get from videos or books, this is definitely for you. “Kinship has a model that works and it begins with an intergenerational group of volunteers. There is a face that looks like you for everyone making it approachable and representative of who lives in the community and they food insecurity and the desire to gather is an essential component of a neighborhood and the multiple communities therein. I have volunteered on Friday mornings multiple times and even arranged for a client to enhance social skills through teamwork through the volunteer model at the food center. What’s best is that you are never judged if you are a volunteer and a shopper. Kinship is a living organism!“

We also love to grab Press at South Shore Farmer’s Market, they make the best Belgian waffles and have great topping options!“

“Best Caramel Latte I have ever had, every time I go. Not sure what they put in there to make it so good, they use the Stone Creek Coffee, but that latte is better than any SCC location.
Owner is very nice and is usually there saying hello. Also fantastic banana bread and other food. Great prices, so glad to live near such a great place. Truly the only drawback to me is bench/stool (backless) seating.“

“Coffee shop/bar - happing place. Smell of Coffee is wonderful, lively conversation, bright windows (look like doors open during summer), but back area is darker with a more intimate feeling. Sampled several beers and enjoyed all of them, especially the Bruv - it tastes just like an ambrosia salad (I know, not really beer like, but perfect for dessert). Staff was all very friendly.“

“Anodyne ended up being the perfect wedding venue for us. The rustic meets modern downtown coffee shop vibes were just what we were looking for. Let me tell you, this place is nice during the day, but at night this place comes alive with the string lights, moody mirrors, and classic radio wall. My husband and I took moments throughout the night to just around and admire the dreaminess of the venue. We received so many compliments about the bartenders and the venue coordinator Erica. The bartenders were super friendly and fast, and one of them even told us at the end of the night how much fun they had too! Erica was AMAZING to work with throughout the year and a half of planning. From the very first email to the last goodbye at the end of the wedding, she was the reason that everything ran so smoothly. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to the wedding, and she was helpful and accommodating every time. She told us that her goal was for us to enjoy our day and not sweat the small things, and that's exactly what she did! We held the ceremony and the reception there, and the transition after the ceremony was seamless and took less than ten minutes. Erica and her staff also set up all of our decor. We left the decor with her the day before the wedding, and when we walked up the stairs into Anodyne everything was set up the way we imagined it. No, better than we imagined! They went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend Anodyne if you're getting married in Milwaukee!“

“Came here to try something new, and I think we found a new favorite spot! We got a black coffee and horchata iced coffee. The drinks were both delicious and adorable! The iced coffee came in a honey pot type of jar with pink cold foam, and the coasters are custom too! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, from the pallet ceiling, LED light sign/selfie wall, exposed cream city brick, and the wholesome telenovela playing on the TV, this place felt very comfortable and homey. The owner was also very friendly in serving us. 10/10! Definitely will be back! We hope to try the food the next time. There are also plenty of power outlets if you hope to work or study.“

“Recently, I stopped in to Casera MKE and got myself some food.

I ordered myself two cookies: A chocolate chip (first picture), and the Honey Creek cookie (second picture). Both were good! Especially that honey creek cookie — nice, buttery flavor.

The drink was their “Manila Fog!” Which is a London Fog but spiced with ube and sprinkled with coriander. I don’t mind the occasional tea, and this one was good and you guys know I’m all about ube and Filipino ingredients!

Had a great time at Casera! The vibe is really cool, the place is very big and spacious as well. Really bright and welcoming, too!“

“For our daughter’s grad brunch we decided to have it catered instead of cooking ourselves & Green Baked Goods did not disappoint! Ordering was easy, communication was open & our order was beyond perfect. We ordered the biggest breakfast charcuterie board which was a huge hit with all the varieties of baked goods, & fun layout. The variety of mini quiches were delicious & the perfect portion sizes for a buffet style brunch. Also easy to serve. Cheesy potatoes & the French toast bake were so good I wish I ordered more for leftovers. Not a crumb was left behind. We will absolutely be going to & catering with Green Baked Goods again. 10/10 recommend this family owned business. “This small coffee shop, tucked in the 777 build has been a nice ritual for me when I have to head into the office. The Brista is very friendly and he has made some pretty solid recommendations which have helped me change up my routine from a regular latte. I also like how they also have Lupi & Iris soups in the grab and go cooler, perfect when I don't have dinner planned for the evening.“

“What an awesome space! I took my toddler after school for a treat and we really enjoyed it. The service was great and we had delicious tea and hot chocolate and even a croissant. The place was super clean and beautifully decorated for dia de muertos. There was also by chance a poetry workshop! We’ll definitely be back and have been telling all our friends about it too!
