“Stopped by on our way out of town. Bright cute coffee shop with multiple tables and outlets if you need them. A+ customer service, I ended up getting a speciality drink and honestly want the biggest fan based on personal taste. The staff were super nice about it and when I asked graciously made me a latte instead.“

The barista was also clearly a very hard worker and doing a lot, and that shows in the way the store looks and feels. “I recommend a visit to the Barn. I opened a new shop April 3rd of 2024 a month before the makers mart event in May of this year. What a wonderful opportunity for my new business to get introduced. It’s been a wonderful experience so far and my neighbors have been very welcoming. My new business is called MoeChic the barn shops which is located in the barn on the grounds of Stone wood Village. I’m so excited to be here and I’m loving it. Come visit the shop and meet myself and my greeter, Buddy who is my lovable Burnedoodle. The shop includes a gallery area with unique handmade items created by local artists. Another area is set up as a boutique with women’s clothing, handmade from a several countries purchase through fair trade, a shoe line and many accessories and jewelry. All handmade, artistic and cultural in fashion. And of course the upper level is layed out with vintage, re-purpose an upcycled items mixed with vintage and current artwork. “We visited for the first time today and this is an amazing place!! Our server Chad was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious!!! I was skeptical because we came close to closing time but the food came out fast looking picture perfect and tasted out of this world!! “We’ve gone twice in the last few days so hopefully I recount all the items we’ve tried so far and name them correctly lol. Biscuits and gravy! This is the best I’ve ever had. The biscuit was thick and hearty but not dry, and the gravy was absolutely the best I’ve tasted. Homemade comfort at its finest—rich and savory with a fantastic flavor. I look forward to the next time, and I just finished eating it. The almond matcha cookie—I’m not normally a matcha fan, but this cookie was intriguing. It started with a thin, crispy almost sugar cookie flavor outer layer at first, then the almond flavor shines through. Not overly sweet just a good thick, soft cookie. The butterscotch blondie— you can really taste the butter. It was the first sweet I tried here, and it immediately got me hooked. The Oreo blondie—my kid devoured it before I could even take a bite. The egg sandwich on sourdough with sausage was good. I added the homemade chili oil which I got on the side, as I’m sometimes a wimp with spice, but this chili oil is so flavorful I’d put it on everything. So if I order a cookie with a side of chili oil you just nevermind- I might need some of this to keep on hand. It adds a nice bite without overpowering the other flavors—just the right amount of heat. The fluffernutter cookie—what?!! yes, definitely try it! Obv Carrot cake bites -carrot cake yes frosting yes - I need more. Everything we’ve tasted so far has been excellent. You can tell it’s homemade, the flavors come through clearly, and it’s just comforting, delicious food. Can I add that the people working there have gone above and beyond and truly enjoy what they do and this place! They are the best food consultants :) they spent so much time with us explaining the items and it got me to try some things I might not have otherwise. Oh and the building itself - the space has a great warm friendly vibe.“

“I tried 2 tasty warm items today a feta and spinach pastry and a chicken croquette. I would say these are some of the tastiest things I have tried in a long time. Flaky pastry with a buttery taste and a croquette with the chicken that was so flavorful! What a lovely place. They also offered other warm items, pastries and a lovely seating area and free internet. I will come again. Perfect for coffee, small groups, families or to do work on the computer.“

“My go to is usually a almond chai or Jolly Green Jenny, a single maple-syrup laced crepe and a side of tofu scramble. Together they satisfy all my sweet salty and savory cravings with a comforting hot beverage. It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. “We had a large group gathering (about 20 people) at Dia Cafe for a breakfast and it was amazing! In advance, the staff we coordinated with responded quickly to calls and emails, and they were very friendly and accommodating. On the day of, they had spaces reserved for us and the drinks and food were out in a very timely manner, especially for how large our group was. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere itself is also so wonderful, the kids in our group stayed occupied with the toys and games they have available, which was so great. Everyone had a lovely time, and many people commented on how generous the portion sizes were and how they were excited to have leftovers to bring home. Also, we had someone who is vegan, and Dia was very accommodating for his dietary needs.“

“Atmosphere/Productivity: This coffee shop has fabulous windows that lets in lots of sunlight when the weather is nice. There’s lots of seating including at the counter where you order. I did not work in this coffee shop but I noticed pretty much everyone else was working so seems like a very productive environment. It was definitely a great atmosphere to read a book!

The Coffee: I was very intrigued with the seasonal lattes on their menu and struggled to pick between 3 - the Cherry Cola, Pineapple Carmel, and Root Beer. I ordered a 12 oz. Root Beer latte but would love to come back and try the other two. It was a great latte - 8.5/10. The Root Beer was more subtle than I thought it would be but I could definitely taste it. The espresso was more profound and lingers on your palette for a while.

The Service: I was greeted by Dalia (hopefully I spelled her name correctly!) when I entered and she let me know she’d be right with me to take my order. As mentioned, I was undecided between 3 lattes and Dalia walked me through the flavor profile of each one until I landed on the Root Beer.

Pricing: Total price with tip was about $9.60.

Bathrooms: There are two individual use bathrooms

Overall great coffee shop- I gave five stars solely due to the boldness of their creativity with their seasonal lattes. I love forward thinking cafes- they provide you with an unforgettable experience!“

“I am utterly delighted that we have a good Caribou nearby in the Milwaukee suburbs. This place has the absolute best cold brew, and the mint flavoring I always get with it is exactly what I'm looking for on either a warm summer day or a cozy winter afternoon. The staff is always extremely friendly, helpful, and generous, and the food orders I've gotten (normally the sausage breakfast sandwich) always come out hot and delicious. The workers at the drive-thru window oftentimes see my dog with me and offer a pup cup, and he loves the attention they give him. Overall, this is easily my favorite chain coffee shop in the area due to the quality of the coffee/food I get, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall ambiance of the shop itself.“

“Best Caramel Latte I have ever had, every time I go. Not sure what they put in there to make it so good, they use the Stone Creek Coffee, but that latte is better than any SCC location.
Owner is very nice and is usually there saying hello. Also fantastic banana bread and other food. Great prices, so glad to live near such a great place. Truly the only drawback to me is bench/stool (backless) seating.“

“Anodyne ended up being the perfect wedding venue for us. The rustic meets modern downtown coffee shop vibes were just what we were looking for. Let me tell you, this place is nice during the day, but at night this place comes alive with the string lights, moody mirrors, and classic radio wall. My husband and I took moments throughout the night to just around and admire the dreaminess of the venue. We received so many compliments about the bartenders and the venue coordinator Erica. The bartenders were super friendly and fast, and one of them even told us at the end of the night how much fun they had too! Erica was AMAZING to work with throughout the year and a half of planning. From the very first email to the last goodbye at the end of the wedding, she was the reason that everything ran so smoothly. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to the wedding, and she was helpful and accommodating every time. She told us that her goal was for us to enjoy our day and not sweat the small things, and that's exactly what she did! We held the ceremony and the reception there, and the transition after the ceremony was seamless and took less than ten minutes. Erica and her staff also set up all of our decor. We left the decor with her the day before the wedding, and when we walked up the stairs into Anodyne everything was set up the way we imagined it. No, better than we imagined! They went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend Anodyne if you're getting married in Milwaukee!“

Coffee was good, and single employee handled the customers as good as they could.

For those of us who enjoyed the charming back patio, this place just lost all the charm. Barely any greenery left, and in a year or so it will be a concrete jungle.“

We also love to grab Press at South Shore Farmer’s Market, they make the best Belgian waffles and have great topping options!“

There is a face that looks like you for everyone making it approachable and representative of who lives in the community and they food insecurity and the desire to gather is an essential component of a neighborhood and the multiple communities therein. I have volunteered on Friday mornings multiple times and even arranged for a client to enhance social skills through teamwork through the volunteer model at the food center. What’s best is that you are never judged if you are a volunteer and a shopper. Kinship is a living organism!“

“Recently, I stopped in to Casera MKE and got myself some food.

I ordered myself two cookies: A chocolate chip (first picture), and the Honey Creek cookie (second picture). Both were good! Especially that honey creek cookie — nice, buttery flavor.

The drink was their “Manila Fog!” Which is a London Fog but spiced with ube and sprinkled with coriander. I don’t mind the occasional tea, and this one was good and you guys know I’m all about ube and Filipino ingredients!

“I tried out this spot over the weekend, and had a great experience. The labneh pita sandwich was so good, I almost ordered a second one to go! I've never had a wrap with fresh crispy pita chips inside, and paired with the crisp veg and creamy labneh, it was super delicious. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. “Came here to try something new, and I think we found a new favorite spot! We got a black coffee and horchata iced coffee. The drinks were both delicious and adorable! The iced coffee came in a honey pot type of jar with pink cold foam, and the coasters are custom too! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, from the pallet ceiling, LED light sign/selfie wall, exposed cream city brick, and the wholesome telenovela playing on the TV, this place felt very comfortable and homey. The owner was also very friendly in serving us. 10/10! Definitely will be back! We hope to try the food the next time. There are also plenty of power outlets if you hope to work or study.“
