“The bright and friendly atmosphere is very welcoming. Kens adorable smile and personality shine through as she serves customers, so proud of these delicious gormuet cookies!! My favorite has to be the thin chocolate chip cookies, they melt in your mouth! PLEASE keep making these, my friends loved them too.“
“Stopped by Qahwa House today and had an amazing experience. I ordered a Caramel Macchiato Frappe and later added a Spanish Latte, and both drinks were absolutely delicious.
What really stood out was the customer service. I was sitting in my car with my child, and the staff kindly brought the drinks out to me without me even having to go back inside. That level of thoughtfulness and care is rare and truly appreciated.
This wasn’t my first time getting drinks from Qahwa House, but today’s experience was phenomenal. The drinks are always great, but the service today went above and beyond.
Highly recommend this place if you want excellent coffee and even better service. I’ll definitely keep coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Came here for an early dinner and wasn't disappointed! Our waitress was very nice and attentive, the booth we sat in was HUGE and comfortable, our drinks were good and our food was tasty! We ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich and reuben. Would definitely love to return and try other stuff - oh and the cheese curds are 10/10, couldn't get a picture because they went so fast!“

“This is our go-to bar in MKE! We keep coming back because of the atmosphere — and especially because of the bartender, Bred. He’s super cool, always remembers us, and his service is amazing. Plus, the drinks he makes are always on point!“

“Leon's has been on South 27th Street since 1942 and they remodeled in the early 1950s into the neon-lit, walk-up drive-in format that still exists today, meaning the building you're standing in front of has looked more or less like this since before most of your relatives were born. There's no dining room. You walk up to the window, you order, you eat in the parking lot or on the hood of your car, and on a warm Milwaukee evening you are surrounded by a full cross-section of the city doing the exact same thing. It's one of those places that functions as a kind of social institution without anyone having to try.
The custard is made fresh daily with cream and eggs and it shows. The texture is dense and silky in a way that regular ice cream cannot match, which is something food writers have been saying about Leon's for decades and which is still true when you actually eat it. We had the Butter Pecan, which is one of three flavors always on rotation alongside vanilla and chocolate, and it has this nutty sweetness that holds up all the way to the bottom of the cone. The Super Sundae Special is the move if you're not sure what to order: vanilla custard, hot fudge, pecans, and a genuinely generous pile of cherries that they do not scrimp on.
The Hot Fudge Sundae is a separate thing from the Special and equally good, with a fudge that runs thick and warm and doesn't slide off into the cup immediately. We also had a chocolate shake just to see, and it was the kind of chocolate shake that makes you realize you've been settling for lesser versions of the thing for most of your life.“

“Such a lovely coffee place. We picked the cute corner for some good coffee and chit chat. The coffee’s we picked were really good. My friend loves matcha coffee and she said it was simply the best.
Would definitely go again if in the area. Next time would like to try more stuff from the cafe.“

“If a cup of coffee could flirt with your spirit, Discourse Coffee Workshop on Barkley in Milwaukee would be the one batting its lashes. I ordered the Flora and let me tell you — from the very moment my lips touched the cup, I knew I had stepped into another dimension.
This isn’t just espresso; it’s artistry.
It’s alchemy.
It’s what happens when coffee decides to put on a silk robe, light incense, and whisper poetry.
The first sip? Floral, creamy, soft — yet confident.
That oat milk-kissed espresso wrapped itself around my palate like a warm hug from the universe. The lavender honey syrup added a gentle sweetness, not loud or perfumey — just enough to let you know she’s divine. The rosewater? A subtle spiritual elevation. The candied lemon powder? A bright kiss on the finish. And the fleur de sel sealed it — a tiny spark that made every flavor stand at attention.
I tasted everything. Every intentional note. And with each sip, it only got better.
By the time I reached the bottom of the cup, I wasn't ready to say goodbye. This was easily the best espresso-based drink I’ve ever had. A soft, luxurious symphony in a cup — one that made me close my eyes and appreciate the moment every single time.
Discourse isn’t just serving coffee…
They’re serving portals, rituals, and revelations.
10/10 — Go treat your taste buds to something magical. ✨☕🌸“

“Been going to Broken Bat since they moved to their new location on 1st and Pittsburgh. I absolutely recommend this place and its entirety and wish I lived closer. Whether it’s wiffle ball, darts, or kicking back and enjoying a Beach Ball (my personal favorite Pineapple Milkshake IPA) no brewery comes close to offering the atmosphere of Broken Bat. But what really makes Broken Bat so special especially to the city of Milwaukee is they care about the people and the surrounding community. They aren’t here to just make another craft beer and take your dollar. If you’ve ever met the owner Tim you’ll understand what I’m saying. So… Whether you’re in the area or at a local store, grab a beer made by Broken Bat Brewing Company. You’re doing yourself a favor and supporting an establishment that deserves it. PS- if you’re a Marquette fan (or not) -> Find the beer “Ring Out Ahoya” and crack it open during Marquettes deep run this year“

“After moving here four years ago, I had given up hope of finding a place with genuinely decent baked fish. I finally found it here! The food is excellent, and the staff is absolutely amazing.
I've had Anjalesa twice now, and she has been wonderful—truly exceptional service.
If I could complain about one thing, it's the consistent lack of salad. I've come three Fridays now, and every time, the salad is completely gone, which is the only side I can have. They can't have one of the best ranches and not carry enough salad that they run out every Friday I've been here! I end up paying full price but leave with no side.
I hope the management sees this and addresses the salad stock, because otherwise, this place is a huge winner.“

“Cute Robot – 3.10.26
Our 416th unique restaurant between Madison and Milwaukee.
First thing that hit us walking in was the music. Straight 80’s bangers all night. I was grooving in my chair. Great vibe.
We started with a few small plates. The spicy edamame was really good and the pan seared pork gyoza were on point. The sunomono cucumber salad was solid once we added a little salt, pepper, and some of the spicy sauce from the edamame. On its own it could have used a little more flavor, but once we tweaked it everything came together nicely.
Drinks were just okay. Nothing bad, but I would probably skip the cocktails and go with an Asian beer. We finished with an Asahi Super Dry, which ended up being perfect. Ours was imported from Italy.
The burger was the star of the show for me. Two patties, and let me tell you those s.o.b.’s were not smashed. Two thick patties. But the real standout was the bun. Buttered and perfectly toasted. Absolute elite bun work. Toasted bun, two thick patties. Simple, filling, very good.
Madda got the chicken katsu sando (🥪) on traditional white bread, which is how they serve it. She was definitely eyeing my buttery toasted buns with a little jealousy though. Pro tip if you order it, ask for extra sides of both sauces for dipping fries.
Madda got regular fries with hers and I went with the Japanese street fries. Crispy McDonald’s style fries with furikake seasoning, spicy mayo, okonomi sauce, and kewpie mayo. The $2 upgrade to go full throttle was worth it.
The plates and bowls were cute, the paper straws were annoying and make life less enjoyable, the 80’s music carried the vibe, and our server Jacqueline was great and very attentive.
Even though we might not order all the same things next time, I’d definitely come back for one of the curries, the breakfast sandwich, and the egg salad sandwich.“
“love a good fruited sour beer! I had the strawberry rhubarb today and let me tell you it is so good!“

“If you’re reading this, make the reservation. Easily a 10/10 meal. We started with the burrata, their specialty. It was, in a word, divine. The bread was perfectly toasted. The salad underneath the burrata changes seasonally, and the apricot, honey, and truffle oil elevated it beyond expectation. I could have had another order of this for my entrée and been set. My chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unpretentious but perfectly executed. The potatoes and broccolini came to life with the lemon caper sauce. My husband had the mac n’ cheese with short rib. The creamy mac and tender meat don’t compete in flavor — they’re in a loving, happy marriage. This is what restaurant BBQ mac should be. I’m not usually a crème brûlée person, or at least, I thought I wasn’t. I let my husband pick the dessert, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly creamy and flavorful. This is the experience you want when you decide you’re ordering a dessert. The service was top-notch. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were all delightful. Heirloom MKE delivered one of my favorite dinners to date.“
“Torzala is fantastic! A lovely family run brewery with some top notch beers. Seriously, we have not had a bad beer here. The bartenders are great and the atmosphere is fun.“
“Only place around we know where you can play pingpong for free! They had pinball machines, darts and pingpong in the back. We came here for my mother's 64th birthday because she wanted to play table tennis and it was so fun! I haven't seen her smile like that in a long time!“

“My son made me aware of this fantastic brewery, and I paid them a visit on my recent trip to MKE. The taproom is so welcoming and adorable! The bartender was helpful, attentive, and friendly. I typically drink barrel-aged stouts, but I loved all three of my half pours - Sensitive King, Saison Bay View, and Garten. Yum! I look forward to my next visit.“

“My husband and I came from central IL for work but turned it into a date night. We had so much fun at Lost Whale! We tried nearly all of the cocktails (some twice) and fell in love with the shooters!
We're planning a trip back because we also feel in love with the area and want to explore! Thanks for a great Friday night!“
“We love Urban Harvest Brewing due to the family atmosphere as members of the mug club and all the events that involve the club and the general public (i.e. block parties and fundraisers). I absolutely love how owner Steve supports his community and organizations like the Wisconsin Humane Society and his patrons. Also as a retired Infection Control Practitioner, I am SO impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and especially how UHBC operated during COVID-19 pandemic ... nice job!“

“The Stone might be the friendliest bar in Milwaukee. Before I settled my butt into a seat at the bar, someone welcomed me with a hello and a welcome. Soon, more of the customers ambled up to me to talk about a myriad of subjects. This was an eclectic crowd, and obviously, all were welcome. These days, I'm invariably the oldest cat in the joint, but no one at the Stone seemed to notice. Neither did my dark glasses or fedora cause people at The Stone to keep their distance. That was very cool because how I dress is often construed as pretentious in the down-to-earth confines of Milwaukee. However, the regulars at The Stone let my personality and discourse speak rather than my appearance. That meant a lot to me. I left The Stone knowing I always had a welcoming tavern to go to. What a wonderful feeling. The Stone is a special place. BTW, the drinks were fine, and the prices were good.“

“We stopped at Boone & Crockett on a Sunday shortly after they opened. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the bartender was really friendly! We got the sazerac and a mocktail - both were delicious.
We’ve also attended events at The Cooperage and it’s always great - food and drinks, atmosphere 10/10.
Highly recommend - a Milwaukee staple!“

“My friend and I visited SmallPie last Sunday on a whim and absolutely loved it. She had been previously for a slice of pie, but had never had any of their savory baked goods. We both got chai lattes and split the 3-cheese quiche and sausage/hashbrown pie. Everything was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient. At the end, we got pie to go and landed on the Milwaukee Mud pie…it was perfect in my eyes. So good! Will definitely be coming back!“

“There is everything to love about this place, their drinks are always delicious and they tought me that scones can be good!! [Even inspired me to make some of my own]
My only qualm for lack of a better word is that I wish they had a punch card or something! It would be nice to earn a free coffee or pastry as a treat for loyalty to the shop :]“
