great place to sit outside with the family. farmers market is awesome
Great spot for enjoying nice weather and grabbing a beer!
Food is great, but on busy days with nice weather there's often a long wait
Met here for a bike ride, then grabbed lunch and a couple of beers afterwards. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and nice beverage and food choices. I know there were vegetarian options, but I wasn’t focused on that selection so I can’t speak to how good they were. Overall, I’ll probably go back!

South Shore Terrace Kitchen & Beer Garden is a popular spot in Milwaukee, offering a fantastic view of the lake and city. The restaurant provides a great all-around vibe, with a friendly atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and an outdoor setting that is dog-friendly. It's a hidden gem known for being the busiest beer garden in the area.
The restaurant is nestled along the shores of Lake Michigan in the historic South Shore Park Pavilion, offering a singular blend of Milwaukee heritage, thoughtful culinary execution, and an expansive beer program. The beautifully restored WPA-era bathhouse, with its fieldstone architecture and civic-era charm, evokes a sense of continuity with Milwaukee's past while providing a warm and character-rich refuge.
Customers praise the ice-cold beer, delicious fries, and the standout lobster roll with a generous portion of tender lobster meat. The menu also features a "Farmers Salad" - a medley of greens, fruit, vegetables, and cheese presented with a sense of restraint and freshness. While the food options may change, the restaurant is a great spot for lunch and a dark beer, with wonderful views of the lake.
