On a bar hopping night, my first stop was Blackbird at the southern end of KK. It had a sparse crowd on Valentine's Day, but I struck up conversation with an older couple who were headed to Hungry Sumo for dinner. The bartender was gregarious and knew a few people sitting at the bar. He was friendly enough towards me but drawn to the couples he knew. Blackbird singing in the dead of nightTake these broken wings and learn to flyAll your life. You were only waiting for this moment to arise. Blackbird is one of my favorite beetle songs.
