I donโ€™t usually like leaving negative reviews, but I believe in being honest to help others make informed choices. I really tried to find the positives here, but overall, my experience just wasnโ€™t great. The quality of the food wasnโ€™t good we ordered four things from the menu: two sandwiches and two Puerto Rican plates. One sandwich had rubbery bread, and the other was slightly burnt. The meat in the second sandwich was disappointingly bland it felt like I was just biting into plain bread and meat, with no seasoning to bring it all together.

The arroz con gandules was nearly flavorless, and the meat was dry. Overall, the food lacked seasoning and depth it needed something to bring it to life. There was also a public bathroom smell in the place, which made it hard to enjoy the meal.

Service wasnโ€™t the best either; staff seemed inattentive, and there was a long wait time. On top of everything, I found the prices a bit overpriced for the quality and overall experience. I genuinely hope things improve because I really do want to see local businesses succeed.

It's very disappointing and very discouraging not only this restaurant but almost all Puerto Rican restaurants here in Milwaukee suffer of a couple of things and one of them is mismanagement well that's the main one and the other one is consistency quality and deliverance it's a shame because Puerto Rican food has great quality and great potential to be a good business has a lot of potential what is a shame that Puerto Ricans down here in Milwaukee do not take their business seriously and be more responsible and consistent with their business I went to this restaurant to ask for a pastel they said they were frozen why do I want to buy a frozen pastel like it doesn't make sense and every time I have came to this restaurant I'm always disappointed the lack of responsibility image management is crazy this is Shalom restaurant in Milwaukee Wisconsin and it's a shame because it's not the only Puerto Rican restaurant that is mismanaged down here in Milwaukee they should close them all down until they can finally open one that is professional consistent good product and can represent Puerto Rican food how it should and not misrepresented or disappointing like it is here in Milwaukee and especially at this restaurant

I dined in with my daughter. Food was priced wrong on menu and food portion was way too small for the price smh. I bought a plate, a parcha juice and 1 Malta $23 smh. Beans were great tho and only the beans. Crazy we pay and tax was over $5 unlike a fancier restaurant would have been. Never again and I been giving them plenty chances to i.mprove.

We dine in and prices on the menus were not accurate, they are over charging for the little amount of food provided. Our bill was over $100 for 4 alcapurrias, sea food salad, a mofongo plate and a egg ham & cheese sandwich!!! The food was great but unfortunately we will not be coming back, no wonder the place was empty :(

Cold food. Ground beef was still red. Stale alcapurias. Very unfortunate because we ordered several items on the menu.

I will never ever forget how terrible this place is Iโ€™m puertorican and the food was bland and expensive the worse I will never recommend this place my first and last time here! I know what authentic puertorican food taste like and this was tasteless and overpriced so disappointing! Especially because Iโ€™m a Chicago native before moving here! Skip this place.
