Los Portales in Minocqua is a gem for Mexican cuisine in the northwoods. The veggie fajitas with shrimp and street tacos are phenomenal. The Shrimp Jalisco and shrimp quesadillas are amazing. The refried beans might be a bit salty for some, but the cheesecake is incredible. The large daiquiris are massive and delicious. With excellent service and quick food delivery, this restaurant is a must-visit, even for large groups. In winter, it's pleasantly warm. The food and service are incredible, with fast, hot, incredible flavor and fresh produce. The kitchen is open to view and it's clean. They clearly take great pride in preparation. The salsa is very fresh and the chips are not stale. Parking is available on 3 sides of the restaurant. The street steak tacos Mexican style were tender and flavorful. The shrimp meal and chorizo burrito were very flavorful. The vegetable fajita for one person was a big portion of vegetables, very delicious and the veggies were fresh and crispy. The chicken was fresh and the burrito sauce was really good. The rice and refried beans are not too salty. The place was decorated typical Mexican style and it was clean.
