There were only 2 of us and we were sat at a 4 person table. Ordered non alcoholic drinks and we’re still deciding on food. Sneered at the non alcohol and mad we didn’t also order food immediately. They couldn’t get us out of there fast enough for bigger parties of snowmobilers. We obliged left drink payment and will not go back.
We vacation in the Northwoods fall and winter, and "The Whale" is almost always our first stop when we hit town around Suppertime on our way into town. FIRST, our server Sophia, was wonderful...on the ball, quick, friendly. This year, we noticed a couple changes that we didn't care for. The problems were (1) we were there on a FRIDAY, and the "Friday Fish Fry Menu" doesn't give people many food choices if you don't want fish, shrimp, or clam chowder. Great outdoor seating in good weather. Perfect for watching lake activity and chatting with people around you.
