JonnyO's Pizzeria Monticello

Me again-the lunch specials are good all week. Enjoyed meeting friends on the bike trail & having pizza for lunch. 2 slices & a drink for about $6. Just right for an old biker.

Was there yesterday and ate on their outdoor patio and today ate at the bar. Both were GREAT experiences! Great Food, Customer Service, and clean all around! So many yummy options on the menu. Wish I did not live 1 1/2 hours away! Highly recommend and definitely will be back!

We have loved JonnyO’s for 2 years, they deliver to neighboring communities and it was an attractive bonus. We order there before ording at any of the I town pizza spots. Tonight we had an unfortunate outcome to our dinner. We placed an order with 45min wait (ok, typical for a good restaurant) waited for over an hour. Got our pizza was the correct pizza wrong crust- we called they said they could replace. Great! They did, but delivered the wrong pizza again. The delivery driver agreed that what we were getting wasn’t what we ordered, he was great. We followed up more than 2 hours later to see what the status was, we got disconnected. Called back- hung up on. Then we received a text that said “ your order has been refunded please find a pizzeria that meets your standards” that totally sucks because we only needed an update and if that update was “ we can’t do it, but we will refund you” then ok! But you know told us to go somewhere else.

We've been twice now. Once for great thin crust pizza and again for the Smash Burger. It was caramelized all around including the cheese. Sautéed onions on top. There's nothing like it in Belleville, New Glarus or Monticello. Two great experiences even with construction going on. Exciting to have this new option.

Good pizza, pasta, and breadsticks

As many of you may know I am an Extreamly Picky Eater. (because I love food and spent over 35 years in the food industry. While in Monticello pet sitting we I remembered seeing a sign in the windows of Jave Lava on Main street the week before announcing JonnyO's Pizzeria was now sharing their location after 4pm offering pizza along with varied weekly specials. Gyros was on for Thursday nite special and having planted that seed in my brain I thought I give them a go. We found their website and proceeded to order 2 Gyros and fries online for pickup. Now, I must say and I dont say this lightly. Jonny O's Pizzeria Gyro's are the best Gyros I've found in all of Green County Wisconsin. I live in this area since 2000. I was happily surprised and delighted.The meat was excellent, not that chopped and perfectly formed slice that so many places use. No, it was like the kind you'd get in Madison at Parthenon's on State street 20 years ago. Tasted like the meat was roasted on a slab like in Madison. The tomatoes were a perfect size, not to big, not to small, not mushie or slimy, the onions, even tho they were purple and not the traditional white onion as I am accustomed to, they were the correct size, fresh and crunchy. The sauce was on the side and it was thick and creamy, (just as a great Gyros sauce should be)My hats off to you on the excellent gyro sauce, wow! What a fantastic surprise. Great Gyros in Monticello. AWESOME FOR ALL OF US!So, I had to tell all of you to give em try, if the pizza is even close to the quality of their Gyro, Monticello just hit the jackpot on the takeout scene.I will return, looking forward to your pizza and many more tasty Gyros from Jonny O's Pizzeria located inside the Java Lave Cafe on Main Street in downtown Monticello, WI. Vegetarian options: They did offer a cauliflower crust for Keto & Gluten Free folk. Along with veggie options. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

M husband and I stopped in after hearing that there’s a Thursday gyros special. The meat was excellent, cut thick and grilled. This is a great find and only 12 miles from home. No more going to Madison or Rockford for a good gyros.

Excellent pizza! My whole family was very pleased with the taste (even the Italians ?). The crust and sauce were very high quality in particular. The garlic butter on the breaksticks and the crust was perfection.We will definitely be frequenting this and the Belleville location now!
