“My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

“Had a fantastic lunch here. Simply good food and very friendly staff! We got the meatloaf sandwich (with horseradish and provolone) and grilled reuben. Both were so so yummy- perfectly grilled and fillings were generous. They had a big spread of desserts, too. Got their bread pudding to go and was pleasantly surprised to find coconut! Can’t wait to come back to try other things, but DEFINITELY coming back for the reuben.“

“I’ve been two severa Coopers Hawk wine bars, but living in SE wisconsin I was excited they finally opened a MKE location. My first experience was they were so packed and wine tastings were impossible because there wasn’t enough room. Too much of a good thing, both sides of the bar! But that’s being fixed now. They remodeled to increase size with a new bar, are adding an enclosed outdoor patio by spring, and adding staff to speed up service. Today I had three wines, plus an over pour they gave me during a flatbread lunch paired with the chef’s suggestion. Amazing stuff. Checked out with 6 wines, flawlessly used my card on member file, and utilize a reward credit. Quality, ambiance, and value. MKE finally has all three! I expect Brookfield will become as consistently great as Gurnee and Barrington, just a little closer.“

“I called another bakery (not National Bakery) that’s on Greenfield in West Allis, wanted to order a cake for the following week. The lady on the phone wasn’t very nice and told me I had to order online then put me on hold forever. So I hung up and called National Bakery. Boy am I glad I did. The lady that answered was so nice and so helpful. I got the most beautiful and delicious cake I’ve ever had. Really made my birthday special. National Bakery is my go-to bakery from now on. Tried a number of different breakfast items (including French toast, yogurt/fruit, breakfast sandwiches and muffins). Each one was delicious. Service was friendly and quick for how busy they were. I had the ribs which were done perfectly and meaty!\nThey came with corn bread(I usually don't like but this was delicious and warm.) Cole slaw and Mac and cheese, which were very good also. My husband had the Thursday night pork dinner special. That came with a large side salad, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and wonderful crusty bread. We both enjoyed ourselves very much! “Le Macaron catered my wedding in October a little outside of Milwaukee and the desserts were such a hit! I did 2 sheet cakes, 1 red velvet and 1 almond poppyseed along with a couple macaron trees! I got so many compliments, especially on the almond poppyseed cake. We did a small personal cake to cut and we enjoyed the rest of it over our honeymoon, along with a small complimentary box of macarons :) Highly recommend Brides!“

“My daughter and I found The Naked Baker cookies at Outpost, so we thought we'd given them a try. We purchased two flavors.I think they are a little pricey so I don't know how often I'd buy them.We like the Gluten-free Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookies. They are soft and flavorful. Just enough of everything.“

“Ate there recently after about a decade hiatus and it's just as good as I remember. Store was clean; food was yummy and the order was both correct and timely. Hats off to the management of this location; as the chipotle and Starbucks this noodles shares the building with have both gotten so bad that I will no longer spend any money at those businesses. Looking forward to a bowl of Japanese pan noodles every other week now.“
