“Recently had lunch here after a Dr's appointment - for the first time. The prices are reasonable. It was very busy. we were seated quickly but it was a long wait to get our food. We ordered breakfast- and most of the food was good. But I had a chicken breast with my eggs and potatoes- it tasted horrible. When I spoke to the waitress about it she informed me that the restaurant marinades the chicken in pickle juice before frying. I feel like thats something you should tell people in advance.“

“Always love coming here every time we’re back in Milwaukee. The staff are ALWAYS over the top friendly and the food has NEVER been bad. The coffee is excellent also and they have oat milk creamer too! The breakfast casserole is my go to, but the brioche French toast and ham and cheese croissant are both fantastic as well.“

“I tried the Cali skillet this morning. The eggs were done perfectly over medium. A nice skin over the yolk that was pierced by toast yet an ample amount of fluid yolk for dunking toast in. The feta cheese really complemented the avocado, mushrooms and spinach. It's a great melody with a dash of Tabasco and Louisiana hot sauce and sourdough toast. I'll have to return to try the breaded veal cutlet.“

“To start, our server Harry was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! We had a table of 9 show up unannounced and we were promptly sat, all together! Our food was amazing! The environment was so inviting and comforting! Overall it was a great experience!“

“I love this old school diner. The food is solid. The service is always friendly and excellent. The character of the diner makes me nostalgic, reminds me of my grandparents. I always think of them when I come here for breakfast. My daughter lives nearby so it's a tradition when I go visit.“

“This was my first time eating at Douglas Avenue diner and it was really good. I enjoyed the jumbo shrimp on fish fry Fridays. I got the coleslaw and potato pancake as my sides and oh it was amazing. Not everyone’s coleslaw makes the cut but this one was quite tasty. I didn’t catch our waitresses name but she was fun and attentive and carried great conversation. It was very clean inside. I even noticed the front staff helping hold the door open for an elderly woman coming inside. I can’t wait to come back and try breakfast.“

“Came here with my Mom, Older brother, and Aunt, who we had picked up from the airport and decided to come to Denny’s. It was at night too, so we really enjoyed the night atmosphere as well as us eating our food indoors. The staff was pretty nice, funny, cool. Will definitely be coming back👍🏼😊“

“Yeah, food was was actually really good today. French fries could’ve been a little crispy but still pretty good burgers were totally spot on them on the seventh for 10 $20 deal. Their floors are a little disgusting right in write out that’s the way I kind of like it.“
