“Recently had lunch here after a Dr's appointment - for the first time. The prices are reasonable. It was very busy. we were seated quickly but it was a long wait to get our food. We ordered breakfast- and most of the food was good. But I had a chicken breast with my eggs and potatoes- it tasted horrible. When I spoke to the waitress about it she informed me that the restaurant marinades the chicken in pickle juice before frying. I feel like thats something you should tell people in advance.“

“I tried the Cali skillet this morning. The eggs were done perfectly over medium. A nice skin over the yolk that was pierced by toast yet an ample amount of fluid yolk for dunking toast in. The feta cheese really complemented the avocado, mushrooms and spinach. It's a great melody with a dash of Tabasco and Louisiana hot sauce and sourdough toast. I'll have to return to try the breaded veal cutlet.“

“This was my first time eating at Douglas Avenue diner and it was really good. I enjoyed the jumbo shrimp on fish fry Fridays. I got the coleslaw and potato pancake as my sides and oh it was amazing. Not everyone’s coleslaw makes the cut but this one was quite tasty. I didn’t catch our waitresses name but she was fun and attentive and carried great conversation. It was very clean inside. I even noticed the front staff helping hold the door open for an elderly woman coming inside. I can’t wait to come back and try breakfast.“

“If you’re looking for a good old-fashioned burger, classic sandwich or a filling breakfast, and waitresses that just want to see a smile on your face, this is the place to stop. The food was good and very reasonably priced. The waitresses make sure you have what you need and swing by often with smiles on their faces.“

“To start, our server Harry was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! We had a table of 9 show up unannounced and we were promptly sat, all together! Our food was amazing! The environment was so inviting and comforting! Overall it was a great experience!“

“I don't know that I've ever actually sat down at this Denny's to eat, but I've ordered takeout many times. I wasn't impressed with the past takeout service, however, for about the last month or two I see a big improvement. And when I did just recently eat in at the restaurant, service was awesome, the manager came over to check on us and see how things were going. I was very impressed.“

“This seems like it would be a good place for the locals to eat. I was taking there by my mother-in-law who is a long time native of milwaukee. I personally did not enjoy the service that much. The food was also a little bit bland for my taste. It seems like the selection was a little lacking. Other than that the place was located in a very nice area. That is why I gave five stars for the atmosphere. The inside was also nice. If you are looking for the best tasting food you can probably skip this place. If you are looking for a really good place to sit down with a really good ambiance than this would be a good place.“
