We've been coming to this diner for years on end and the staff always know how to make us feel like family. The food is absolutely delightful (I always order a cheeseburger with tater tots, and our usual waitress actually brings my go-to drink to the table before I order because she knows what I like) and it's such a cozy and wonderful diner.
The atmosphere was that perfect packed large diner experience. Plates are well portioned. Service with a smile. Fast with the coffee refills. We enjoyed the French toast and a great chicken fried steak. The chicken fried steak was NOT full of gristle, like you get at chain restaurants. The gravy wasn't over peppered, black OR white pepper. Visiting the area, I thought I’d try because of high reviews. The Oak Creek diner. Parking lot was full. There’s a lot of people in the restaurant. I was ignored from the hostess stand to be seated and they took the next group and once I was seated a gentleman that comes around with coffee, which is fantastic, but I was drinking tea, tried to pour coffee into my cup and I said now I want hot tea and he just continued to pour hot coffee into it so that happened once I got him...
