“One of the best bars in the area. All the drinks are great, you can’t go wrong. Just order what you like and they’ll make one of the best you’ve had. They change their menu about quarterly and have really unique drinks. Great old fashioneds! They also frequently have food, but check their Facebook page to see what’s happening.“

“I love love love going to Leons. I live in Las Vegas, NV and every time I come into town I will always go to Leons. Absolutely hands down the best frozen custard I've ever had!! “Been going to Broken Bat since they moved to their new location on 1st and Pittsburgh. I absolutely recommend this place and its entirety and wish I lived closer. Whether it’s wiffle ball, darts, or kicking back and enjoying a Beach Ball (my personal favorite Pineapple Milkshake IPA) no brewery comes close to offering the atmosphere of Broken Bat. But what really makes Broken Bat so special especially to the city of Milwaukee is they care about the people and the surrounding community. They aren’t here to just make another craft beer and take your dollar. If you’ve ever met the owner Tim you’ll understand what I’m saying. So… Whether you’re in the area or at a local store, grab a beer made by Broken Bat Brewing Company. You’re doing yourself a favor and supporting an establishment that deserves it. “Torzala is fantastic! A lovely family run brewery with some top notch beers. Seriously, we have not had a bad beer here. The bartenders are great and the atmosphere is fun.“

The cheese curds,burrata, octopus and royal eggs provide a wonderful introduction to what turns out to be a very special culinary event. House made desserts like the triple chocolate cake and crème brûlée are excellent. We have tried almost everything on the menu and are always extremely satisfied with the entire experience.“

We had difficulty getting a ride home due to the weather and the bartender was so kind and accommodating to us even though he was trying to clean up for the night. “I am so unobservant! How did I not know that this splendid place has been open in my neighborhood for over 2 years?!?! Just lovely inside and out. My group of friends and I had a really nice time trying their great selection of brews and I even took home a bottle of Saison Bay View for later on. They have outdoor seating that I am looking forward to relaxing on for many days after work this summer. The bartendress was knowledgeable and super friendly. We'll definitely be back now that I know this hidden gem is nearby.“

I absolutely love how owner Steve supports his community and organizations like the Wisconsin Humane Society and his patrons. Also as a retired Infection Control Practitioner, I am SO impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and especially how UHBC operated during COVID-19 pandemic ... nice job!“

“The Stone might be the friendliest bar in Milwaukee. Before I settled my butt into a seat at the bar, someone welcomed me with a hello and a welcome. Soon, more of the customers ambled up to me to talk about a myriad of subjects. This was an eclectic crowd, and obviously, all were welcome. These days, I'm invariably the oldest cat in the joint, but no one at the Stone seemed to notice. Neither did my dark glasses or fedora cause people at The Stone to keep their distance. That was very cool because how I dress is often construed as pretentious in the down-to-earth confines of Milwaukee. However, the regulars at The Stone let my personality and discourse speak rather than my appearance. That meant a lot to me. I left The Stone knowing I always had a welcoming tavern to go to. What a wonderful feeling. The Stone is a special place. BTW, the drinks were fine, and the prices were good.“

Between the backyard patio and the cozy bar, there is never a time of year you can't be comfortable here! The staff & bartenders are incredibly nice and fun to hang out with. Lost Whale also now has a resident food truck in the back to keep you full while hanging out!

Lost Whale also let us rent the bar out for a night so we could host our engagement part there! I would be willing to bet that every single person we invited had one of the best nights of their life!

“They had amazing food here. Loved the Chicken Karahi, including the sauce it had and the chicken and the karahi Masala. I would say though that I would like there to be less bone and more chicken. The place is also relatively convenient for taking transit is it is right along the route 54 bus and the Route 80 bus which have decent frequencies. Not super convenient for biking as the nearest bike lanes are on Mitchell street and Muskego Avenue and really is only accessible by biking from the west. If you are coming from the north south or east then you’ll either have to ride on side streets or in traffic with other cars“

“Absolutely perfect atmosphere!! The vibes were so fun and welcoming, it felt so safe to just be! Cannot recommend enough, they had games in a little patio/garden area and darts inside. The beer was cold and fresh and the service was outstanding!!“

“A nice taste of Milwaukee. Right on the lake, good non expensive drinks, local food trucks and dog friendly! The music is a bit loud at times so not ideal to sit inside if you want to have an intimate convo. However, the lakeside seating and the patio were tranquil.“
