First time at the bar but had to leave after the people next to me were constantly vaping didn’t realize that was allowed.
The kitchen at the hideaway puts out some excellent tasting seasonal dishes such as the short ribs. Toady I was able to sample the new smoked meat selection and oh, man the flavor is out of this world. The Ribs, lean brisket and fatty brisket is insanely good. The servers are excellent and friendly. Lexi was so polite and proper. On a very busy day when the kitchen was very backed up 1-1.5 hours she made sure to make us aware of the wait we had in store. Hideaway has really good food, drinks, service and a great patio/view of the lake! The menu goes beyond bar food. The lasagna is amazing!

The Hideaway Bar & Grill offers delicious food, whether it's for take-out or dining in. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it suitable for both adults and children. The staff provides great attention to customers, and the bar area can get busy, especially on Friday nights, but the team handles the crowd well. Parking is plentiful, with plenty of spaces available, though walking back up the hill can be tough for older visitors. The restaurant has a nice water view, making it a great place to relax. Inside, there are high tops which some find difficult, but overall, the seating is comfortable. The food quality has improved significantly, and meals like spaghetti sauce are very tasty. The service is generally good, with food coming out at a good pace even when busy. It is a favorite among locals for dining in Okauchee and is a perfect spot for gatherings, as shown by the successful retirement party hosted there.
