“If you want the best service, menu, food, drinks, and atmosphere with a beautiful view of the river then Red Pines is the only place with it all. Always the first place we stop when we come to Onalaska. I was fortunate to have a family who had a surprise birthday party for me at Red Pines. Best Birthday party!!! Had a great time with great food, drinks, service and especially family and friends. Thanks you all. See you next trip.“

“Moved to LAX 2 years ago when I retired. Found DR’s and since gone in 4-5 times a week for lunch or dinner. Spent on the average of $800.00/month since. Forgot to pay my $15.47 bill the other night and walked out. Came in the next day and was told of my mistake by their manager Kevin and told I was kicked out for life. I didn’t get into a fight, get into an argument, I forgot to pay my bill. That being said everyone there knows I will come in the next day or tomorrow and would make good of it. Please stay away from this place. Cannot believe a fine man Dave Skogen(Festival Foods) is associated with this place?“

“We were at Cedar Lake for a banquet. They had a bar and service was good and drinks were excellent. The meal was a buffet with prime rib and baked cod for the main course. The baked cod was outstanding and the prime rib was very good - sides were also all good. We need to come back for dinner sometime.“

“My girlfriend and I went there yesterday. It's one of those places when you walk in and you feel at home. All the people were friendly.Then there was the food. Amazing!!! I just had cheeseburger and fries. All the burgers are a half pound. My girlfriend had the ultimate BLT. 12 strips of bacon on that thing. Wow We highly recommend going to Angry's.“

“We have had great customer service at Crooked Pint! Tonight there was difficulties in the kitchen which led to an unexpected long wait- our waitress & the manager handled the situation so gracefully. They acknowledged the mishap and comped us without our party even speaking up. This was our 3rd time eating at Crooked Pint as a family & it has been a great experience each time. Our kids look forward to dining here and so do we. The food is great and the service is too!“

“We do recommend this place have eaten there several times and absolutely love it and have had many things on the menu. We love the smokehouse burger on Mondays and Tuesdays beyond delicious!!! Must try!!! ....On Saturday we were in there took 40 minutes for a burger and wrap wasn't busy so that was disappointing especially since this has never happened...“

“Great new staff! Friendly, professional, attentive and the wings were a 10/10! I’ve been coming here for years NEVER has a bartender taken my order and introduced themselves at the same time! Not only did Alex introduce himself to us, he introduced himself so every customer that he helped! Both bartenders were sober, and I didn’t see any other staff taking up seating room at the bar. I asked for “something strong but classy,” and he handed me a drink that tasted like it was mixed by James Bond on a student budget — perfect. He’s basically the bartender version of Google: he somehow knows what you want before you even finish the sentence. Also, he pours heavy enough that I started tipping like a millionaire halfway through the night. Don’t let the smile fool you though — Jimmy will roast you harder than the lime he just torched for your cocktail. 10/10 would let him judge my drink order again.“

“Cool place. I love the old musical instruments displayed. Best chicken dumpling soup ever, but the best part by far is the friendly and accommodating staff. I have a family member who is at Mayo a lot and often stops there for lunch. He loves it and said that its impossible to be in a bad mood there because the staff are so friendly. This place is local gem.“

“I am disappointed to hear that the bar at the La Crosse/Onalaska store (and all Hy-Vee locations) will close April 30. It was managed and staffed very well. This was something that made Hy-Vee unique, and now it will be less so. I guess dropping Wahlburgers was a step in that direction. No thanks to the Corporate Office of Hy-Vee, Inc.“
